New York (4-3) at Cleveland (1-5)
I'm not sure this is much of an upset, though it will be perceived as such. Remember, the Jets lost 900 to nothing at Jacksonville three weeks ago, and the Dawg Pound will be revved up now that they've been emancipated from the offense of Maurice Carthon. By the way, do you realize that the best weapon in the Cleveland offense, a healthy Braylon Edwards, caught five balls for 33 yards over the last two games? One game a guy gets lost in the play-calling, I can understand. Two? Too much.

Cleveland 17, New York Jets 13

The ONLY thing King says in there that would indicate an advantage for Cleveland is the crowd. Everything else is about their weaknesses. Then he picks them to win. Nice....

Patsie homer back to stay for awhile I guess.

Funny that 2 weeks ago in MMQB his 10 things I think included the Jets being 5-3 at the bye, but now he has picked against them two weeks in a row. Tells you what his inner self says about the Jets.

Can't figure it out though, this guy is from Jersey and yet he acts like a Boston homie. Anybody know if he's from Mass, Ct, RI, NH or VT originally?

No way they hold us to just 13 points. I wouldn't be shocked if we get beat in a shootout, but we are going to score points on these puppies....

Well, the Jets haven't really been that impressive either. Vegas favors Cleveland...

I read his articles but rarely agree with him. Very good point about him pointing out the 5-3 Jets and then picking against them.

I doubt the Browns can score enough points to get into a shootout even without Maurice Carthon calling the plays. I figure if the Jet's just keep their attention locked on the game we're talking a 24-13 Jet's victory or there abouts.

i'd be more focused on droughns who is a tough guy to take down...a back that can break tackles is hell for our defense
im just not sure how good/healthy that browns line is

Does anyone think it would be crazy to think Cleveland can win this game? if so you haven't watched either team play this year. I think we'll win, I hope we'll win but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Cle wins this game.

I think this is the traditional "trap game," where every sign points to the Jets, their bye week, and then followed by what will be a huge showdown with New England. But I think the Jets can pull it out, unless the Browns offense really gets going. Frye has to have a very good day throwing to Edwards and Winslow.

Yeah it's definitely not an easy game for the Jets to win, but they have been winning these types of games regularly this year.

Edit: my bad. The Dolphin game was in the Meadowlands.

So who was a tougher opponent: Buffalo in Buffalo or Cleveland in Cleveland? Not quite the same thing but I'd still say the game in Buffalo was a tougher win than this one would be.

It wouldn't surprise me either. I'm very nervous about the game.

I keep thinking about that Bears game in 2002 - the week after we had to play in NE, but that week in Chicago should have been an easy win for our playoff run.

Of course the team came out cold and sputtered throughout the entire game making Chris Chandler look like Dan Fouts.

And then that Chrebet fumble...Mama mia!

This is nothing out of the ordinary for Peter King. He has never liked the Jets, which is not to say that he's wrong about the Browns winning the game, they certainly could.

King's style though, is and always has been, to favor teams like the Cowboys and the Packers (and it just so happens that they are some of the most popular teams across the country ...good pro move by a national columnist) Need proof, he picked the Cowboys to win the Superbowl this year and even worse he picked the Cowboys, off that embarrassment of a home loss against the Giants, in which neither Dallas QB played better than high-school ball, to go into Carolina and beat the Panthers.

Want to read a little about a writer who take exception to King take a look at this article.

peter king is so anti-jet it's a joke.....i heard him on espn radio once and the host kept asking him about the jets making the playoffs this year and peter king refused to acknowledge that we have a very easy scheduale, etc....and he just kept saying that he couldn't picture the jets in the playoffs while teams like pitt, balt, etc stay home.....and the host kept saying they will beat up eachother, and the jets could sneak in, and peter just wouldn't accept it, what an asshole

Well Carl Banks just picked the Jets on Benigno's show. And he hasn't missed a Jets pick yet this season. So fooey to you, Peter King.

The Dawg pound being revved up? Is he out of his mind, they'll be 45,000 people tops at the Brownies game, the team is 1-5 and DEAD. There were thousands of empties in the Broncos game as well.

Crennel is not an NFL calibre coach, and how the hell do you have Mo Carthon running the offense. He was a blocking fullback in the most boring, conservave team in NFL history. I'm not sure he even touched a football in his life.

You're delusional if you think some joe shmoe can turn around this offense in less than a weeks time? new philosophy, schemes etc.

fat chance! peter king is a moron

The Browns have the worst offense in the NFL. A new OC might help, but whose to say he won't be worse than Carthon? I can't see them completely turning that offense around in the course of 1 week, even if they are going up against the Jets defense.
