Was it just me or did the refs seem to not want us to win? The two pass interference calls to give the fins their TD. Feel like any other team and those aren't called? Also the oppostite the blatant push off fins commited on the int and its not called? AYFKM? In a game last week they said more penaties have been called this season across the league than in history. So maybe its not just us? That said we wion and now I have the whole Sunday ahead of me.
They certainly didn't do themselves any favors in the Ref ratings. I think the league does an eval of every Ref Crew, every game and those that rank highest work the post season. Maybe I'm mixing this up with Baseball but I don't think so. If so, please correct..
I think they just wanted to keep the Fins in the game to keep it interesting. If the London games are blowouts, it'll bore the locals there and they won't get into it.
That's correct. The increased flags have made for a lot of games that have no rhythm. Also, I feel like the networks cut to commercials now more than ever. The viewing experience isn't as good. BTW, join Draft Kings. Or Fan Duel. That sleeper is out there.
Yeah I was thinking that too...ESPECIALLY when that obvious PI on the Fitz INT wasn't called while all our ticky-tack secondary fouls did.
Ordinarily, I would be skeptical about this. However, after they called back the late Dolphins TD for the pick play (always selectively called) I was convinced. Remember, the penalty on the Dolphins TD came on first down after the holding call on the 4th down incompletion, (which we never really saw on replay). They favored the Dolphins to to keep the game close, but they wouldn't give them another cheap. TD. It would've been a total travesty for the Dolphins to even be within 7 points of the Jets today.
I think this is spot on. Even in sports I dont like or understand I can appreciate some drama. Its clear thats what they were going for and thats bullshit.
Amazing enough, for a league so sensitive about gambling that they won't even consider a team in Vegas, they all but pimp FanDuel and DraftKings 10 times per telecast.
makes no sense. I'm inclined to believe there was a physical fanduel/draft kings salesman in every household watching the game in London today.
I just Cant get hung up on what the refs do or don't do. The good teams will win despite any/all obstacles through a season. Truth be told, in the long run, it usually balances out in the game or another game down the line.
Agree, most fans only remember the calls that go against their team and very rarely ever point to favorable calls as the reason for a win...
ok so when was play that went for the Jets when they needed it and it was bad call against the other team? I have seen then happen when the Jets are ahead but never reallu behind. I did miss last weeks game though and saw the quick replay
Flags are flying in every game this weekend, which isn't an anomaly this season. It's getting ridiculous at this point. Let them play.
Don Shula was the head of the NFL officiating committee for 27 years, and surprisingly the Shitfins were the least penalized team in the league for 27 straight years
Exactly between the penalties on every play and the commercials every other play they are ruining a great game
I may have missed something really obvious here, but late in the game the Phins had a five yard roughing the kicker penalty on Quigley, and the officials moved the ball five yards forward...as if the penalty was against us... What did I miss?
