That's fair. All those teams are better than the Jets...MAYBE the Jets are better than KC, doubtful... That's a good spot.
The Jets are the border team between the good teams and the bad teams. Don't expect a change (one way or another) until after the NE game.
I don't know, they lost by 6? to Denver...They just beat San Diego, a team MUCH better than the Jets... Larry Johnson would have a minimum of 170 yards rushing on this defense, completely controlling the game... KC's better, but not by a whole lot.
I'd say we are about right. Put us ahead of KC and maybe Pitt, not not much higher. I wouldn't put the Colts at #2 either, just because they are 6-0. I would put Denver and NE ahead of them.
Yeah, but Jax waxed us and then got waxed by Houston. We are better than Houston. Good teams will lose to bad teams every once in a while. I still think we are better than KC.
20 is the right spot for right now. If they win either the Patriots or Bears games they'll move up a bit, but continually beating bad teams by slim margins is just gonna keep them floating right about where they are. BTW, this is not a national media issue, like so many others regarding the Jets. The facts are that the Jets have had opportunities to beat 3 good teams this year and have not managed to get over the top yet. They have a few more opportunities coming up and if they win one of those they'll move up a bit. As NYJ EcKo151 points out: if you beat all the bad teams and lose to all the good ones that makes you a border team between all the good teams and all the bad ones. 20 is the border right now.
I don't really think it is that fair. What other team in the NFL gets DROPPED in the rankings after winning a game in a fashion where, despite a few small scares, they dominated the entire game?
These rankings aren't really well thought out. They might as well set them up by record, because only 2-3 teams are really out of place if you go by records.
