What do you think the Jets strategy will and should be to defeat the Patriots this year? Pound the run? Double team Gronkowski?
don't let them score a lot of points then score more than that I'll wait for my coach of the year award until the season is done.
That line will have to get to Brady, but more importantly we better cover the WRs by playing them physically.
You've got to try and take the air out of the ball (no pun intended- they like that) and pound the rock. Slow the game down and control the tempo crowding the middle of the field on defense. I hate to say it but at this point it really doesnt look the AFC has a team that can contend with the pats

Their guards are horrendous. You can't blitz Brady, he'll just find his hots and take 5-8 yard gainers all day. Win with the front 4 and take away the quick passing game. Outside pressure is no good, he just steps up into the pocket and looks downfield. Get pressure in his face to force him to move laterally, also obstructing his throwing lanes in the short middle of the field, (taking away his vision and allowing you to bat down those quick passes). The teams that beat Brady always have great pass rushers on the interior of their lines, just look at how the afc east teams have chosen to construct their rosters and it'll tell you everything. It'd be huge if Sheldon isn't additionally suspended and is ready for that game.
obviously you need to mix it up but I'd go with a lot of putting revis on edleman, bump gronk w/a linebacker or safety for the full 5 yards and then double team w/cro. make them beat us with amendola, lewis & company. they may well be able to do that but sometimes you have to pick your poison. there defense seems to blow, at least so far.
Therein lies the key. Anytime the Pats look human it's because Brady is on his ass or running for his life. That's the end all be all. We'll have Sheldon back at that point and we need to be able to pressure with the front four +1. We get to Brady and we increase our chances of winning by a LOT!
Pressure up the middle is key. I'm surprised how well their Guards and Center have played so far. They're a bunch of scrubs. Only way to rattle Brady is to get in his face as his only real weakness is mobility. We could really use a Sheldon Richardson.
