His value has diminished alot, and he is hurt now. Kirk looks comfortable out there.

If you are the Jets, would you trade a 2nd or 3rd round pick for RGIII?

Not sure he is worth anymore than a late round pick at this point. Often injured and not a good locker room guy so it seems. Also, ESPN said something to the effect of him possibly carrying $16 million in injury money next year that would count against the cap as dead money. Not gonna lie, I'm not a cap guy and I didn't quite understand how that could/would kick in, but if there is even a slight chance that gets carried over to the Jets, I'd say HELL NO.

    I'd pass on this guy.

I see another Michael Vick in RGIII. Small, fast, rocket arm, takes a ton of hits. RGIII will have a career, but it will be like Vick's. Lots of potential, but always injured at the wrong time. I'll pass.

I'd throw a late rounder at the Redskins for his upside, but it is quite telling that his coaches and his teammates don't seem to like RG3 and won't defend him publicly.

If you committ to him and build the offense around him he could be special here. I'd do it in that case.

If he would get a haircut and a PR person to teach him boring football cliches instead of saying he is the greatest qb, then maybe.

I'd trade a fourth for him, but he may be damaged goods at this point. He's not the confident player, he once was at Baylor or in his rookie season.

He plays scared and refuses to take shots down the field or step up in the pocket... if you can find an OC that will develop a system around his skillset and he instill confidence in him once again, I could potentially see him becoming competent, but with Geno and Petty on the roster, it doesn't make sense to trade a high pick for RG3.

He's at or near the end of his rookie deal and he'll want big money he's not worth. Pass.

He looks like the type of locker room guy that would get punched in the jaw.

no, but i'd trade Q. Coples for him, a DL who the jets repeatedly and foolishly insist should be playing LB.

I'd do it for a third. RGIII (even with all his issues) is better than any qb we have on our roster currently.

We already have a project QB from Baylor, his name is Bryce Petty. To me, he has a higher upside, being a prototypical NFL QB. Tall, strong, big arm. Even though Russel Wilson moves around a bit, he still makes most of his plays in the pocket. I'd take a guy who is more stationary but gives us a chance to win throwing the ball, than guy who runs a lot, is hurt a lot, and is not helpful in the locker room anyway.

I'd literally take Mark Sanchez back over RG3 at this point.

Tonight will be very interesting, that's for sure. If Fitz gets injured we'll probably have dozens of RG3 threads on this board the very second Fitz gets helped off the field.

    No.

No more rejects from other organizations. Let's build our own rejects. Bryce Petty, you're up.

Even if he is worth a late round pick, the value associated with the time to develop him will still be too damn expensive, we need to not be cheap at the most valuable position on the football team.

We'll see what happens with Cousins tonight. If he does well RG3 could be traded tomorrow or sometime next week.

Hes damaged goods with a bruised ego.

No. Unless hes willing to test FA and we pay him next to nothing. No.
