http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...esean-mccoy-to-get-mri-after-hamstring-injury If he's out for an extended period of time I think the Bills are toast. Maybe if the Jets luck can't change we can hope for bad luck with other AFC east teams.
Yeah, but LM had been so consistently good and injury free. I guess you can never see injuries coming, but the bills RBs situation is bad now. That's a problem when they have bad qb's and want to ground and pound it. Maybe rex signs shonn greene . . haha
Boy, jumping the gun a little bit? How is the Bills RB situation "bad now" when McCoy will miss some preseason games? Anyway, even if McCoy retired right this second, the Bills still have Fred Jackson, Karlos Williams, Bryce Brown, Boobie Dixon... not bad at all my friend.
I said if LM misses extended time then you guys will be in bad shape. Also, last time I checked, Jackson, Williams, Brown and Dixon all have, or have had injuries already this preseason. They add up. Especially at RB. With LM and an old FJ being your only proven RB's in an offense with bad QB's, I'd be worried.
Bryce Brown is a freak with the ball. Studly flashes. His prob has been fumbles. He'd be gold if a team actually paid him attention and developed him. Rex is the last guy that I think would/could do that.
Fred Jackson and Percy Harvin also hurt at Bills camp in the last couple days. I hate training camp injuries even when they're not ours.
Haha as a fan of the league I like to see all the teams when they're at full strength and it sucks when a team can't even get to week 1 with its best players, but I guess better them than us.
good post I agree completely. I think the guy could be a hell of a player in this league. the funny thing is that Rex already hates him of course. Rex has been on his ass all camp and then he fumbled in their blue and white scrimmage and Rex made a point to give him shit for it. sometimes you can get in a players' head. Hopefully Brown gets cut and signs elsewhere because he could be awesome if someone develops him and Rex Ryan hasn't developed a single offensive player in his 6 years as an NFL HC
Hopefully that "elsewhere" is with us if he's what you guys are saying he is. Besides the his ball security issues are his hands any good catching the ball.
He's got pretty good hands, yes. He has nice size 6'0, 220 and is really fast 4.3/40. When he runs straight downhill he is at best and could be great. He is a DeMarco Murray type. similar size and skills. But the problem is he tries to punch it outside too much. Its not just measurables though.. in Philly he was almost a 5.0 ypc runner, then buffalo trades a 4th rounder for him only to bury him on the depth chart. He could be a great back to take over late in games with his downhill running and ability to break one big to close out the game. He has had some problems with fumbling but I think they are a little overblown. or at least something like that can be fixed. Rex hates him of course. Labeled him a fumbler before he even had a chance to coach the kid in person. You telling me he's going to properly develop the kid with a quote like this, shortly after his hiring: "With us, when we made the LeSean McCoy trade, with Fred Jackson and Boobie Dixon and, uh, the fast dude. Brown is it?" Ryan said, smiling. "I'm not gonna learn his name until he holds on to the football." "And if he does, he'll have a chance to play. But until we feel comfortable with it, he won't." then Brown made things worse by not showing up to OTAs and fumbling in the teams inter-squad scrimmage. He looked really good in their 1st preseason game though. Mike Rodak, their beat writer for ESPN says he has about a 40% chance of making the team, which is really stupid IMO. they are wasting their time with Fred Jackson who is over the hill and Anthony Dixon doesn't have half the talent of Bryce Brown, but of course Rex Ryan never had the keenest eye for offensive talent.
Thanks for the info, sounds like this kid really does have that dreaded word, "potential", which of course means you haven't done anything yet lol. With Ivory's hard running style and it being the last year of his contract , if I'm not mistaken, maybe Mac can capitalise on Rex' ineptitude as a talent evaluator ? I remember when Tiki had the problem with holding onto the ball and look how he ended his career . Hopefully some good players shake loose and we can keep moulding this team into what Bowles/Mac really want it to be . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
