I'm just happy he's making the best of his opportunity.

As am I. I'm hoping he takes a screen pass 30+ for pay dirt (I got Pennington starting).

i hope leon becomes a star because hes a hard worker, his personality reminds me of curtis martin. during the jacksonville game they were talking about how he stopped playing football for a year in high school to work and support his family and he worked during the summers in college to do the same. its athletes like these that deserve to be great and hopefully leon becomes a star for the jets

That was a fantasy football article but i would not reccomend starting leon in ur fantasy team. His workload is shared out between him and barlow and mangini seems set on starting barlow to this point... with the exception of the jax game

Sometimes you don't have a choice. I am in a 16-Man League and I had a really bad draft. I had to pick him up and start him for the sake of needing any points.

Lets not get carried away with claiming him to be the future of the team. He's got alot of talent but he still has to prove he can handle the load week in and week out. Personally I think down the line he'll be best suited as a 3rd down, passing situation change of pace back who gets about 10 touches a game. But for now he and Brad Smith are two of the most exciting players this offense has had in a long long time.

I picked him up this week to start (Stephen Jackson has a bye and I couldn't make the trade for Kevin Jones :rofl2: ) Here's my personal take: if he gets a hole at the line of scrimmage (and with the Detroit line, that could happen) and a few WR blocks, he would be unstoppable in the open field. I expect minimum one 40-yd rushing TD today for Leon. I think he'll do it.

    Me too. My alternatives are:
    • Thomas Jones - bye
    • Donte' Stallworth - questionable
    • Dante Hall - playing San Diego

I think Leon Washington's got a lot of upside in my 14-team league due to:
    • His skill
    • The Jets's relatively soft schedule
Somebody mentioned that they expect a +40 yard run and a TD. That high level of production would surprise me.

I enjoy having Jets players on my fantasy team. Had to drop Vilma though. He wasn't producing enough to justify his roster spot.
