I think Rhodes, Dyson, Pennington and Coles will be representing the jets at this years pro-bowl, possibly vilma as an alternate like last year(all he does is get tackles, never gets any sacks or turnovers)
I think Coles is definitley in there this year. Pennington should make it as the 3rd QB, at this point, but you never know if some other QB who isn't performing as well will bust out and play great at this point in the season. I think Rhodes should make it, but he isn't a household name like Reed, Lynch, Polamalu, etc. I think that's a big factor as sad as it is. It's really based on names, not numbers. Same case goes for Dyson. I'm sure guys like Ty Law, Champ Bailey, etc will make it, don't get me wrong, they are having good years, but if guys like Rashean Mathis get left out, the voting system needs to be fixed.
Coles should make it for sure. I don't see his numbers going down too much the rest of the season. Chad should be in as an alternate if he keeps steady all year. Hopefully he won't have another game like Jacksonville to kill his numbers and our momentum. I'd love to see Rhodes make it, but like Drew said he just isn't the big name yet. If he has another season like this it will be very hard to ignore him any more in the future. Other than that, I can't really see anyone else. Maybe Miller as a special teams player? Don't they send one of those guys every year? Maybe I'm thinking of something else.
If Coles continues the way he's going for another 4-5 weeks he should make it. Don't hold your breathe for Rhodes anytime soon. This defense is terrible and basically anyone with any knowledge of the NFL knows this, that in and of itself will work against Rhodes. I love Ben Graham as much as the next guy, but he's not getting in either with tough competition from well established vets like Lechler and Moorman.
do special teamers make the pro bowl, or do the make up a special teams roster from the O and D players they select i ask, because brad smith is doing great on teams
Yes, each team is allowed one nomination for special teams ace. Ours happens to be Matt Chatham though.
