Bucs claim Swearinger, Jets tried

    Manish Mehta: Jets put in a waiver claim for former Texans safety D.J. Swearinger, per source. Buccaneers claimed him yesterday. #nyj


    Bucs get the claim because they had top priority, but I find it interesting that we were going for yet another strong safety.

    Swearinger is one dirty player, he essentially ended Dustin Keller's career.

    Borderline player with questionably dirty hits that refuses to play special teams does not seem like who you would want while rebuilding.
