my god, go read the comments under the story on the Boston Globe. www.boston.com I weep for the children.
FUCK'EM 4-6 was a fair result for the cheating POS, as much some may have wanted more I'm just glad they had the stones to punish him. Frankly i'm glad we still see him twice, makes sure theres no excuses from a fan base full of them when the jets beat the crap out of em.
I think a little of it has to do with offensive woes against a creative defensive coach in Belichick, but I've never seen Brady play more confused than these last 4 games against the Jets.
Pitt is w/o their RB but I'd favor Pitt week 1. At Buf you have to favor the Bills, they will tear apart Garrapolo, Jacksonville has some talent but NE probably gets the win and at Dallas you have to favor Dallas. This looks like a 1-3 start giving the rest of us a chance, we better take advantage and get off to a good start.
How is this a harsh punishment? Any punishment that doesn't result in Pats losing their championship is an unfair one. Forget the Indy game. If they didn't cheat, they might not have win against Ravens the week before Indy game making Indy game moot. Seriously I have a problem with that. Why did Brady cheat? To win the Superbowl. If you believe Brady cheated, you have to vacate the last Superbowl. This is ridiculously soft punishment. And Bellichick? How does he go unpunished?
BB's D's have been mediocre at best since the dynasty, last year thanks to revis they had a top 10 D again but BB lost his defensive magic through the years and has been riding Brady's coattails to the HOF.
same things that would be said on any hometown website. if Brady was a Jet all the folks here bashing him would be defending him.
Only problem is we don't have a cakewalk those first 4 weeks. CLE/@ IND/PHI / MIA (London). I've said all along that if we get to the bye at 2-2 we're set up for a good year, but that would only put us 1 game in front of a Brady-less Pats team. I'd still say a WC berth is more likely though this obviously dramatically enhances our division chances, which were <5% before.
I disagree. I don't want cheats on the Jets no matter how good they are. If it was found that Namath cheated in the season leading to the SB win, I'd be pissed at Namath for being an asshead.
This is something I never see people talking about. All the apologists will just say they wouldve won that game no matter what. But no one truly knows how long deflategate goes back. Games? Years? THATS what we need to know. What if it goes back to Week 1 of last season? What if it goes back to 2010? The latter may be unlikely but no one outside of a few people know for sure. Even if it doesnt help Brady out it definitely helps out their RB's. There is a reason why Blount , Green Ellis and Maroney fumbled everywhere else they played except for NE.
Should have been 16 games for Brady. Piece of shit franchise Piece of shit QB Piece of shit championships...All tainted Competitive imbalance and edge. Fuck the Patriots.
They will just find another way to bend the rules or cheat outright. I don't think they care as much as other teams do about their 1st Rd pick. It's usually late in the round and they trade out of it most if the time. They shoulda lowered the hammer big time considering it's the second time they were caught.
The majority of fans wouldn't care, maywe you would and I prefer to win the right way but if he was a Jet 99% of the fanbase would be backing him as long as he was helping the team win just like yankee fans w/ ARod(although the situations are not comparable but you get the point).
I'd be pissed that I couldn't enjoy my championship without it being called into question. Right now every Pats troll gloating about their Championships and seeking validation from the world will never get it. Ever. Forever branded cheaters in their championship season. _
of course they will, they are smarter than other teams. Other teams are looking for ways to bend the rules too and most, if not all, do it but they don't do it as well.
