WR Vick promoted from Dolphins practice squad By Alex Marvez South Florida Sun-Sentinel Posted October 17 2006, 5:57 PM EDT Marcus Vick was promoted Tuesday from the practice squad to the Dolphins' 53-man roster. The team cleared a roster space by waiving fellow wide receiver Cliff Russell. Initially considered a long shot to make the Dolphins' roster when signing in May, Vick has impressed the team while making the conversion from playing quarterback last season at Virginia Tech. Vick also has avoided the off-field problems that prematurely ended his college career and contributed to his not getting selected in April's draft. Russell had two catches this season and had played mostly on special teams.
I didn't even know he made the switch from QB to WR. I don't see him doing much anyway. Does Miami play the Falcons at all this season?
maybe vick can be the miami version of brad smith? hell, it's worth a shot...can't hurt at all really he can use his trusty pistol to get open!
