Is this a "sign" that Mo' is outta here or an enhancement to solidify the front 7 ?

I understand the BPA line, but what do YOU think this means and/or why was he chosen rather than upgrading the O?

    Jus' curious!

Wilk will be a Jet for at least one more season. 1st round of the draft is over, so you're not trading him now.

Not right away IMO. The Williams pick gives them options though in case Mo is asking for too much.

You let him play out his deal next year on a stacked defense and if Williams looks ready to take over you can let Mo walk if the $ becomes crazy.

He's a very good player. But he's not worth the 35-40 mil guaranteed that he's reportedly going to get.

We don't know how Williams will stack up yet. Anything can happen. Mo is a proven commodity and I still have my jersey.......

We don't even know if Mo's contract demands are outrageous or if they've even discussed contract because Mac wanted to focus on the draft.

I don't know if they were talking out of their ass or what, but on the NFL Network the commentators alluded to there being a problem with Mo for the Jets as if he is asking for too much money and they are at an impasse. They could have just been assuming there's a problem, or they may know something that hasn't been made public yet.

I wanted Mo to remain a Jet for his entire career, but now with the addition of Williams and the specter of Mo possibly being greedy, I'm not so sure. One thing I know for certain is that adding Williams doesn't help the team that much because he won't be on the field even 90% of the time unless Mo or Snacks are traded. I don't see how the Jets could ultimately afford to pay Mo, Sheldon and Williams anyway, so I think that even if there is no problem with Mo, I'd rather go ahead and trade him for a 2nd and 3rd round pick, but then again, with the Jets luck, the BPAs at all those picks would be Defensive players so eff it. I guess we are destined to never get another good QB or win another SB.

I'm thinking Damon Harrison could be a goner after this season.

And Leonard Williams will be on the field.

Mo doesn't have to be "greedy" in order to justify the Williams pick or be traded.

Only if there were more good qbs in this draft

Hundley is garbage dame as petty and eveyrone else left at qb I would be fine if we didn't take any this year

I was speaking in terms of my thoughts and feelings regarding Mo, NOT what the team should or could do.

If this pick leads to trading mo, it could go down as one of the worst jets picks ever.

I know but it just seems like whenever we trade away great player, people try to qualify it with certain terms. The FO may just be thinking about the long term cap ramifications and future contracts. Sometimes you just have to make tough choices for the betterment of the team that have nothing to do with the player being "disgruntled", "greedy"…etc.

I know there are no more good QBs, but let's say the Jets get a 2nd and 3rd for Mo. With two 2nds and two 3rds, they could possibly add four players from among WRs DGB, Jaelen Strong, Rashad Greene, or Devin Smith; RBs Tevin Coleman, Ameer Abdullah, David Johnson, Duke Johnson, Jay Ajayi, or TJ Yeldon; OTs La'el Collins, Jake Fisher, Donovan Smith, or TJ Clemmings; OG AJ Cann; ILBs Eric Kendricks, Benardrick McKinney, or Paul Dawson; OLBs Eli Harold, Nate Orchard, Lorenzo Mauldin, or Hau'oli Kikaha; and TE Maxx Williams. Wouldn't you sign up for that?
