if Curtis "rested" until after the bye when we play in New England! ...Handoff to Curtis Martin. Martin flips the ball back to Brad Smith. Touchdown Cotchery! Jets win! The Jets win!

New England hopefully will lose 2 of the next 3 games (At Buffalo, At Minnespta and against the Colts). Their record would be 5-3. The Jets could be 5-3 if the beat Detroit at home and at Cleveland.

Think of the possibilities! Knock off New England on their turf for sole possession of 1st place in AFC East!

    Wouldn't it be GREAT!

Welcome to TGG! Nice to see another optimist join. I'm also fully expecting the JETS to beat NE after the bye and take the lead in the AFCE.

It would just be nice to see Curtis play a little more. We've been playing weaker opponents, but running a bit better every week. Not elite, but middle of the pack. The line is probably gelling a lot better and Mangold seems like an enourmous pick.

It would be nice to add a healthy and rested Curtis Martin out of nowhere in the middle of the season. That would shake some folks up a bit.

Personally, hoping I'm wrong of course, I feel that we've seen that last of Curtis. At least as a dominant force. He might stick around until the end of the year, get in afew carries. But as far as coming back next year, or even starting again... I doubt it.

I want to be wrong, but don't you think he should've made some progress up to this point. All of the offseason, training camp, and six weeks in, that's a long time. Doesn't look good.
