Haha I just remember someone pointing it out and everyone else was like '0h yeah, nice' I don't mind the stadium, I actually think it has a pretty nice home field advantage minus rookie qbs and windy days; but I think it gets loud. Hate that we share it, but Jets fans are definitely the louder of the two crowds. Would have been cool if it was in NY, but it makes sense given the population in the surrounding area.
Yeah but New York blew it. I actually wanted them to move too as we would have our own stadium and been out of the shadow of the Giants. I would've been fine going to the West Side Stadium as it would have like been a ferry ride over the Hudson for me. I don't mind the current setup though, as I just pregame on the train ride from Hoboken. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They Play in Jersey AND the NFL only allows football on one local Network at a time...got shafted twice!
Yea well you can thank Woody for that, that day has come and gone. They should have built one on Long Island
Wrong - Johnson wanted "the Jets' own stadium".... .....along with Bloomberg (as a selling point for a 2012 Olympic bid), the labor unions and the MTA as well. Further, the Jet organization had former Jets such as Joe Klecko, honorary chairman of Westsidestadium.org and JWN pitching support for the stadium in an ad campaign. No, if truth be told, blame rests with that crook Sheldon Silver along with Cablevision's James Dolan and former NYS Sen. Joe Bruno who along with Silver wouldn't vote for it as a member of the Public Authorities Control Board.
duh I think U R missing the BIG point we are a bottom feeding team a long, long. long, way from being a "big boy" team as U posted
Fuck Sheldon Silver and James Dolan. As a New Jerseyite STH I would GLADLY have driven in to 10 games a year to that West Side Stadium, would have been awesome. Instead we got that POS hollowed out 1980 air conditioner. _
I'm 99% sure I'll be there with my son. It'll be great to get some pics on the field with him since I've got one with him from the stadium tour before the place opened & he was less then a year old.
LOL great point as unlike Giants Stadium, the Jets aren't renters of Metlife. They share a 50/50 ownership with Giants so there's no excuses.
Hi talisaynon It is open to STH only and tickets not on sale. Though I am not a STH, I found the ticket thru a friend. Maybe someone here might email you the ticket if they aren't going. Stokes might just do that for you.
