How nice would Mark Anderson look in a Jets uniform playing ROLB right now instead of a Bears? In his 1st 5 games, he has 5.5 sacks and 9 tackles and 1 force fumble as a back-up. His rookie stats thus far, like his size (6'4" 258 lbs), mirror that of John Abraham's in his first 6 games in 2000 as a rookie (4.5 sacks, 12 tackles and 2 forced fumbles). A guy I wanted us to draft in the 3rd and fell all the way to the 5th round. He is starting tonight for Adewale Ogunleye who is hurt.

idonije is starting, not mark anderson. also anderson had a couple of gimme sacks...and right now he gets owned by arizonas o-line (poor pass blockers btw). he's playing in a great defense with pro bowl d-linemen right next to him. dont make it sound like he could've done the same thing with houstons or our defense...

I doubt very much he would have the same production on our defense especially given the fact he would probably have to line up next to Kimo Von "Old" Hoffen. However, I pretty sure he would be a great improvement over the Hobson/Chatham combo now and in the future. We have absolutely no pass rush; we new this coming into the draft and did nothing about it. I don't think, excuse me let me rephrase, I hope and pray to God that Jets posters are not smarter than our front office. Mangini has been thus far as a coach even better than what I expected, and my expectations were pretty high. On the flip side, it does bother me that many posters felt that we needed to get some 3-4 personnel in the draft because our current roster lacked those players. For whatever reason our FO decided to pass on such players. Coincidentally we are running the 3-4, our defense suck and every other thread is about the 3-4 and our personnel.

I'm possibly going to try to ignore who we take in the 3rd round next year, the history is just awful.
