My aren't we the cynical one. Yes, except for a few years here and there, this organization/franchise has been a dysfunctional joke, but there is plenty of reason to think that is no longer the case even though we still have a buffoon for an owner. You can't find anything good about the moves that Mac has made in the Scouting and Personnel Depts and FO? Nothing good that he has done in FA? Sorry. You must be one miserable dude. Seriously, I hope that Mac and Bowles will be able to finally put a smile on your face.
Owners - Everyone since 1968 or '69 whenever the franchise was sold after the SB win GMs - everyone since Weeb until now HCs - Pretty much every one since Weeb except Walt Michaels and Pete Carroll (was a lousy HC, but always liked him as a DC). Especially Kotite, Lou Holtz, Charley Weiner (Winner), Bruce Coslet, Herm Edwards, Parcells for abandoning us and leaving us with Groh, Bradway and Tanny (even though he brought some respect and joy), and that doofus Rex. Mangini did some good things, especially with personnel but screwed it all up by being an anal retentive micromanager and jerk. OCs - Paul Hackett, Brian Schottenheimer, Tony Sparano RBs - Roger Vick, Richie Anderson, BJ Askew, Joe McKnight, John Conner, QBs - except for Chad and Kenny O'Brien, every stinking one of them since Joe Willie, especially Ninny Intercepteverde WRs - Johnny Lam(e) Jones, Reggie Rembert, Kenny Shedd, Alex Van Dyke, Dedric Ward, Keyshawn Johnson, Stephen Hill, Justin McCareins OGs - Dave Cadigan, Mike Haight, Matt O'Dwyer, Vlad Ducasse OTs - Wayne Hunter, Jason Fabini (was pretty good, but I never liked him), Adrian Jones, TEs - Anthony Blecccccchhht, Johnny Mitchell, Kyle Brady, Chris Baker (pretty good blocker but had stone hands, dropped a ton of passes), Dustin Keller, the Raider TE we traded a 1st round pick for (his name escapes me at the moment) DEs - Ron Faurot, Coleman Rudolph, Jeff Lageman (again he was decent, but the Jets could have had two HOF LTs and passed them up for him) DTs - Rick Terry, Dorian Boose, Dewayne Robertson, LBs - Marvin Jones, Vernon Gholston, Jonathan Vilma, Anthony Schlegel (the boar hunter), Eric Barton DBs - Russell Carter, Aaron Glenn (even though he was good, he made a lot of stupid mistakes, especially the infamous fake spike vs. Miami), Marcus Coleman, Kevin Williams, Jon McGraw, Justin Miller, Kerry Rhodes, Eric Smith, Drew Coleman, Kyle Wilson,
Hey, I'm a sunshiner, but I'm also a realist. We will have a better team - that is certain, but ask yourself whether we have a chance of being a dominant team this year or even in the next 5. I don't see it because we've have such miserable drafts, have traded away picks, and have signed/traded for veteran FAs to satisfy the billboard crowd and become competitive now. Sorry to be Debby Downer, but it's a pattern I've seen many times with this team.
Carl Barzilauskas was an all time great Jet and anyone who puts them on their list will get a stern reply from me. _
Dick Wood just died. Hopefully Woody Johnson has a service for him and invites Dick Curl. It will be a gathering of the silliest dick related names in history. all New York Jets. epic
Steve F*cking "Slipitis" Tannen As the receiver crossed the goal line you could always find Tannen on the ground twenty yards behind the play where he had "slipped."

I remember a game coming off injury and he took the hand off and ran straight to the sideline. Didn't try to even juke the defender, just straight at the sideline and out of bounds. That guy.
