This is the official never start drew coleman again thread. I was at the game and WHENEVER there was a situation where there was a missed tackle, you noticed it was drew coleman, its like he is scared to his somebody. Did anybody else see this??? I cant wait for barett to get back.

Also McCarines should never even suit up again in a jets uniform, im hoping to hell he gets traded by tuesday!

Im glad we sneaked this one out, lets put the lions away next week

I wathed from home and noticed that he was terrible also. He had many missed tackles and actually played softer than J. Miller. He had a horrible game.

I thought some people were saying that he could be a pretty big hitter and good corner but I didn't see that either

Drew Coleman appears to small to really lay a lick on anyone.

He tried multiple times to lay a big hit on a reciever, but he just kinda bounced off, and the reciever ran for a few more yards before he or someone else caught back up with them.

On a plus note, I think Miller had some pretty good tackles today. His coverage is still shakey, and I know it was just one game of tackling better, but hey, any improvement is good.

JMill was great tackling today except for when Welker shook him off.

Miller did a better job taking down Chambers than Welker for some reason. His coverage still needs some work but as far as tackling, he improved today.

Coleman looked every bit the rookie he is. Didn't really see him make any positive plays. But then again who did on the Defense?

you gotta be shittin me. are we talkin about champ bailey or drew coleman? for gods sake he's a rookie. rookie (especially cb's) look bad when they get playing time. go ask pac man jones or cromartie. thats the bad thing about rookies, you know? let them develope for gods sake.

I would say your right if he got burned a few times, and made a mistake on his assignment, but this is tackleing. I expected better from a STARTER. he missed more tackles then he should have. He had a guy 4 yards back and he just put one hand out to try and stop him, then again he just just pushed a reciever, i wouldnt be knocking him if he actually made an attempt to TACKLE, not push! thats what im saying, i understand hes a rookie. BRAD SMITH IS A ROOKIE QB/WR and he was making excellent tackles on special teams, what is he champ bailey? no but he tries, and he isnt afraid to take a lick

I'm happy to see this thread... every time I saw the #30 I started getting worried. He was absolutely terrible...

Miller allowed a lot of quick passes, but as others have said, his tackling was solid.

Coleman is a 5-1, 120 pound cornerback. This is A REBUILDING TEAM, and HE'S A ROOKIE. He's going to have his lumps, but he's a sixth round pick who has worked his way into the rotation. That's encouraging to me. You can't expect miracles. Additionally, it's moronic to put a 5 foot corner on a guy like Hagan, who has fringe tight end size.

That cannot be right. If I'm not mistaken he was also the guilty party on that illegal man downfield penalty that negated Graham's sweet punt. Still I'll give him a game or two before I start complaining.

thats what rookies do. they dont know how to tackle (its not like he does stuff like that in practice. it happened once...), they look lost out there, they give up bigplays etc. they make mistakes! its that easy. doesnt matter what kind of mistakes (missed tackle, blown coverage) it just hapens

making a blanket statement that rookies dont know how to tackle is kinda silly dude.

he is a CB a small one than that... not everyone is antione winfield. most cbs just arent good tacklers its not a excuse its a fact. i can name some great cover coners who cant tackle worth a damn.

you guys need to stop judging cbs like there linebackers. cbs all over the league miss tackles its nothing new its the nature of the sport.

All I have to say is: Brad Smith

This guy...AN OFFENSIVE PLAYER QB turned WR/RB made (count them) THREE open field tackles!!! all by himself, all im saying is that if he can do it, Coleman should, I mean what did this guy do in college, and if he cant tackle at all, like he yesterday then we need to seriously look into some new scouts. You dont seem to understand that if Brad Smith can do it, then Coleman should atleast be able to do something, not just throw his hands up like hes trying to swat at flys!
