That would be pretty amazing for a QB to play at the same level well into his 40's. Favre is probably the only one close and he had some relatively down years in there when compared to his career.
Vinny hung in there till he was like 44 years old. George Blanda was 63 when he finally retired....but he had a late start.
Or he goes to Houston or another team that's a QB away from winning. Maybe Arizona if Palmer isn't healthy. No way he comes here at this point unless maybe we go full Tanny and sign both Thomases and soup up the offense to such an extent he might get interested.
he hung in there - he wasn't playing near the level brady was this year or even at his personal best. can't say I ever saw blanda.
Jesse Kaye, if you believe what you read. http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=...nhUZZ68QhzjJe4VT-HjCx7VQ&ust=1424822413587659
We will see - history shows it's very unlikely he continues at his current level of play for much longer. I'm not saying he won't, just that it's not likely.
A trade to Houston would make a lot of sense for Denver..and for Peyton. They're gonna need to pay Thomas an insane amount of $$. And Peyton already took a pay cut to help free money up to sign him. Playing for the Texans would've given Peyton a much easier road to the playoffs..and puts him right back in a dome for most of a season instead of 20 degree weather late in the year. So the chances of him getting to another Superbowl increases too if a trade happens. But I doubt it will.
I want nothing to do with Peyton - his arm strength has diminished so much. watching him throw in our stadium would be pretty funny as the season progressed
