Seems like a great idea, why'd it take 50 years? http://www.ganggreennation.com/2015/1/16/7555777/nfl-will-host-a-combine-for-veterans
I like this idea a lot. I'd imagine this will create even more signings of guys off of practice squads as teams get more of a look at borderline players before the season.
And older players who still have something to offer. Way cheaper than making your way to several cities for try-outs.
I like the idea very much. It's a good way to find roster fillers who still might be able to contribute something. The timing of it with the owners meeting is pretty smart, too.
I expect Terrell Owens and Ocho to be there just because. I know they are PISSED this wasn't around when they were basically begging for a team to pick them up... they were sending ESPN little fuzzy ass videos of themselves in backyards working out and running routes lmao.
T-who? Some team will find a great player that's been cleaning men's rooms, that'll be the story of next season.
This is a fantastic idea. It sucks it was Matt Birks idea though. I've never liked him. I don't expect much to come from this, but I'm sure it will change a couple lives per year.
Fantastic idea. Helps keep the playing field level. Another reason why NFL is the greatest sport on the planet
