Yeah, what a great guy. Remember that time he told fans to go fuck themselves? He deserved this high note...
Good finish by Geno - but don't put too much stock into this performance. Where was this play in the more meaningful games?
I'm as big of a Geno homer as there is but the Dolphins secondary is THAT BAD and it is why I was fuming when we kept running the ball at them at such frequency when they could have been had in the air too. It was more of the Dolphins secondary just being so inept and overmatched than it was for Decker looking that elite or Geno looking that brilliant.
The pass protection was brilliant this game and this past month for the most part, they stepped up. Outside of Freeman on a few snaps today, the pocket was left untouched which is a credit to the Jets OLine. Ever since Winters left, this Jets OLine outside of penalties has been at least decent. Shame it took a torn ACL to get Winters out of the lineup and to get the better Aboushi in.
Numbers don't tell the full story. Their defense just isn't that good and a guy like Finnegan does not belong in the NFL at this point. Coyle the Dolphins defensive coordinator has been under fire down in Miami and may not be back in 2015.
QB's have been taking a shit on our secondary all year. So I don't want to hear about them having a bad pass defense.
Of course. But I am saying this Miami defense is ass. The players after the Chiefs blowout loss were fuming and leaking it out that they felt Coyle had the wrong system for these players and that they were not being utilized correctly. I don't fault Geno for doing what needed to be done, not his fault. But it just makes me all the more angry when we come up with the gameplan we did on that MNF game, especially against a rookie corner signed less than a week into that game with him having to cover Decker.
They didn't trust him in that MNF game. He's regained a ton of trust since then. Different circumstances.
No way with the rules today you go in there with that gameplan. They didn't let Geno throw it until they had to down a score late in the game. Even Gruden was screaming to go after that mismatch.
I agree but remember how down the organization and fans were on Geno at that point. He came off a game where he threw 3 straight INT's on 3 straight drives. They didn't trust him. But if he's your starting quarterback you have to let him throw. But in true Jets fashion we screw it up.
and now all he'll talk about this off-season is how he really thinks things have turned around and how hes going to be a pro bowler, im going to puke Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
