oh right- a thread title comparing two players with a post that starts with a tweet comparing two players.. .how could I have missed that point that its not about comparing the players? silly me
I guess you missed "kills off all of the self-loathing". Maybe you've missed it, but a select few still can't seem to get over the fact that we let Sanchez go and somehow think we would be better off with him here.
by the way, in the 8 games w/ Foles they faced 2 potential playoff teams, in the 6 games w/ Mark as starter they have played 4 games against likely playoff teams. does that factor in or no? Mark came in w/ game tied at Houston so we'll call it 7 games each. (again Mark faced a much tougher sched) O w/ Foles averaged 22 PPG O w/ Mark averaged 27.6 PPG which is better?
you are starting to learn, now if you could only apply that little bit of knowledge to be useful in a discussion we'd be on to something.
sure it is especially when that QB was as efficient as Foles was last year, was in yr 2 in system while Mark was coming off major injury to throwing shoulder and on his 4 system in 4 years.
I get it. You like to make excuses for Mark Sanchez. Fact: he is not good enough to be the uncontested starter. We have 5 years of play to support this now. Year 5, he is still making the same mistakes he was making in years 1 and 2. His level of play has never and still hasn't exceeded "good for a rookie". We'll see Foles back.
This is amazing I can't believe this is even a conversation. He's horrible and helped this franchise reach a new low. You want a few games? How about in 2012, his 4th NFL season... Texans Loss "With a chance to lead the Jets on a winning drive,Mark Sanchez was intercepted by Kareem Jackson" 49ers Loss "Sanchez had another poor game, going 13 of 29 for 103 yards and an interception." Patriots Loss "The New York Jets' final failure came when Rob Ninkovich knocked the ball out of Mark Sanchez's hand in overtime and recovered the fumble, ending a 29-26 win Sunday that gave the Patriots sole possession of first place in the AFC East." Dolphins Loss "He was 28 of 54 for 283 yards with a touchdown and interception, and was done in late in the opening quarter by a fumble on a sack by Nolan Carroll that the Dolphins turned into a touchdown. He also had the Jets driving while trailing 27-3 in the third quarter, but Chris Clemons intercepted a throw intended for Dustin Keller." That brought out loud boos and some chants for Tim Tebow by the angry crowd at MetLife Stadium, which had a few thousand empty seats, more than likely because of the threats of the approaching Hurricane Sandy." Seahawks Loss "Mark Sanchez struggled in his meeting against Seattle coach Pete Carroll, his former coach at USC. Sanchez threw a costly interception at the goal line in the first half, then fumbled at the Seattle 32 on a blitz from Richard Sherman, and Seattle's Jason Jones recovered in the fourth quarter." Patriots Loss "Buttfumble" Titans Loss (Final Straw) "The New York Jets' playoff hopes are gone, lost in a wave of turnovers by struggling Mark Sanchez." It was a fitting end to an ugly game that left Ryan cursing to himself as he walked off the field. Sanchez finished with five turnovers -- one on each of his team's final three possessions. He has 24 this season and 50 total in the past two seasons combined. Chargers Loss - Benched Bills Loss - "Quarterback Mark Sanchez finished with yet another sloppy outing. Sanchez went 17 of 35 for 205 yards, while throwing his 18th interception and also losing a fumble" How about another chance which he did not deserve we were all pulling for him because we knew Geno was not ready... Preseason Week 1 - 1st play of the new season - "Mark Sanchez's screen pass was intercepted and returned for a touchdown -- by a rookie who didn't start playing football until the year after Sanchez was drafted."
ok, so all from 2012 when he had Tony Sparano as his OC, Tim Tebow, Clyde Gates and Chaz Schilens as his main weapons but yeah it was all about him. does anyone want to post an intelligent response instead of just posting every loss and blaming Mark?
I like to discuss reality, you like to bash for no reason. he has had one bad year in 5 years as a starter and has a great chance to help a team make another postseason. Jet fans like you deserve Geno Smith and all we have had to suffer through this year.
Lmao we had the best running game and defense while mark was here all he had to do was not screw it up. You want the game clips in 2011 when he had weapons because they are no different. He must give it to you hard in philly.
lol i really hate statistics because for the most part people have no idea how to apply them to real life analysis. geno has a qbr of 78 whatever through 3 games where hes attempted how many passes? laughable that this is even a thought.
we had best D and run game in rankings(or one of the best), rankings do not equal reality. Did you know we have the 6th ranked defense in the league this year? sometimes we need to watch football and not rely on rankings.
Did I say anything about rankings? No I did not, you did. We had a dominating defense that could shut down the run and pass. We can't stop anything now.
