Love Lynch but it would be a bad fit for both him & the Jets. He belongs on a team knocking on that SB door. If the Jets are going to spend some $$ this offseason, I'd like to see them prioritize Guard & CB.

I'd love Iupati on our o-line... he'll be kind of pricey but he's worth it... guy is an animal. Replace Willie with that beast please. THen ivory & CJ (if he's here next year) will run wild.

Would be very happy with Iupati. Not only is he a stud, he would allow Mangold to focus more attention on the other Guard. So Iupati signing should improve the OL in two places. Financially, I think there is also a subtle financial benefit to bringing in Iupati. With Mangold able to baby-sit the weaker Guard, it's much easier to keep that rookie contract lineman into the starting OL. Then the loser of Winters/Oboushi (both rookie contracts) can provide quality depth for low salary.

So you're not signing Lynch on a two year $8 million deal assuming he's good with that and won't be a malcontent about it? You are the crazy one sir. He's a lot different of a runner than CJ in that CJ needs 20 carries of 2 or 3 yards to break one for 90 which is the Barry Sanders syndrome albeit on a much lower level.

Lynch & Ivory would easily be the most punishing combination in the league. There's no way he comes on a deal like that so it's a moot point. There are exceptions to the runningback production rule and I do think Lynch lasts longer in this league than the usual one does.

Yes, I would accept him on a 1 year $100k deal, but I thought we were talking about signing him based on reality not an unrealistic scenario. Providing unrealistic numbers that he would be worth signing at doesn't dispute anything I said.

Remember reading posts by Titans fans on various boards stating he was done before season started. Was wearing my optimistic green shades at the time and thought they were speaking out of envy. However, as this season stretches on, I can see they were on the money.

We had a Titans fan on this forum saying the same thing. He was right. But he was also such a jerk that he earned the abuse people gave him.

Right team. Wrong FA. They won't be able to sign all of their secondary. Just wait.

I don't think Chris will be back next season. But I don't think he's done either. He's looked a lot better recently. But with Harvin taking on multiple roles he's probably going to be used even less than before. I still think short screens to him could turn into big gainers. And he can still run. It wasn't a bad signing at all. I wouldn't mind bringing him back. Some say we don't have enough weapons on offense. Well, he's a weapon.

Assuming Vick starts next year, what we really need are players (like WRs) that force defenses to play BACK, not up to stop the run (including Vick's runs). Teams would love to keep an extra player (or two) near the LOS to contain Vick and stop the run. It's Idzik's job to prevent them from doing that by adding more deep threats to the Offense.

I'll check with my un-named sources but I don't think Marshawn is a deep threat. Pass.

I hope Johnson leaves so we can start feeding Powell again. I had hopes for Johnson as a passing threat but it hasn't happened.

I don't think we need Lynch with Ivory on the team.

Johnson's simply average now. not a bad flyer to pick up when we did, but unless a new coach sees worth in him he's probably not worth half the cap hit he'll get next year (5 mil plus).

this team seems to have a thing against drafting RB's over the last decade and half for some reason. But then it works a lo for us it seems, Ivory was a great pickup, so was jones, Curtis Martin Nuff said. we didn't draft those guys, but they were effective.

Not sure if Powell is on the team next year. According to the link above, he's going to be a FA. Considering he's a RB looking for his 2nd contract, I'm not expecting him to show the Jets any loyalty.

Hasn't really gotten the snaps for the other teams to see. If we offer him a fair deal we can definitely get him back...one of the best 3rd string RBs in the NFL lol

I'd rather draft DJ Foster from Arizona St...kid is a fantastic pass catching back and probably could be had in the second or third round...Abdullah and Gordon look pretty damn good too but they could go earlier especially Melvin Gordon
