Is this what you bring to the table- Nonsensical reasons why to avoid certain players in the draft and douchebag responses?
I have issues with investing the future of the franchise in a passer that I've never seen complete a pass to a a receiver who wasn't wide open. I'm not saying it's a system issue, like some are, only that if a guy's read process is just "find a guy who is at least five yards from the nearest defender", I lack confidence in his ability to transition to the NFL. Not only that, I'm not sure he's accurate enough to put the ball where he needs to in those situations where his receiver only has a step or a half-step. Sorry if it makes me a douchebag that I don't care for your demands that I explain myself.
Okay, thank you. Jeez. You could have wrote your critique of him initially without the attitude. You are posting on a message board. You need not care for my "demands" or other people's "demands." You can exist here as a troll.
It sounds like you've never seen him play. Go watch the second TD pass he made tonite and try not to be a douchebag. _
Just so everyone knows, you are allowed to like prospects that I don't like. I won't even call you a douchebag for doing so. I may or may not ask for your reasons.
Re: QBs for next season. I would like to see us make a play for an established QB to either help bring on and mentor whoever is in the QB rookie fold should we draft one. Who, I don't know yet...things change. Will Smith be here next year? Most likely. Will Simms? Possibly not and will get a chance elsewhere. Vick will be most likely gone as well. Its frustrating, and I think a little absurd talking about getting in stud WRs etc... when we don't have the most fundamental piece on our football team, and this has now been going on for decades. How difficult can it be?
I don't know yet if Mariota will be good or not. I have seen him a half dozen times but it is still not enough. Years ago on this board there were multiple people telling me Larry Johnson would suck in the NFL because he went to Penn State. I said that reason is absolutely ridiculous. He turned out to be an impact runner until he washed up quickly after resting on his laurels. There was this thinking by the masses at one time, though, that PSU runners can't play in the NFL just because they went to PSU.
There is no exact science for whether a prospect makes it not, the draft is just a massive crap shoot 99.9% 0f the time
That sums it up perfectly. Sadly, I think Winston is the most NFL read QB prospect. This is particularly troubling because he is also the most prison ready QB prospect. That's just how it goes when you are on his level of knucklehead.
Jets buskers or anyone else out there get us a weather report for the game. Last i read it said 20 plus mile an hour winds in KC,,,,let us know
This is the game we win and make a case on why we should keep Vick as a starter going forward maybe. The problem with this is a number of scenario's may occur and affect the next draft. We may draft a QB and trade Geno and not draft a legit #1 WR. Looking back there are not a whole lot of draft needs other than CB and WR. We could trade down and upgrade maybe the OL and possible the LB corps. The CB situation with Dee always hurt and the new CB that got hurt is one of those situations that maybe the GM views as a " unfortunate " and "abnormal " situation therefore taking low ranked CB's in the next draft. We may keep Geno because he's still young and just need's to hold a clipboard. One thing, the main thing is, depends on if Idzik run's the draft, and we get a new HC. The new HC will bring a whole new philosophy thus creating a roster that fits that goal on offense and defense. My personal thought is the team suffered from the big dick contest waged by Rex and Idzik. We have a very good team but the "wrong" personal running the team. We are not that far off to becoming a "great" team if our players "fit" the system. At the end of this season a "new direction" is "paramount" I feel is solely needed... a "strong" HC and a very good draft no more excuses or penny pinching. This will be the most important thing and will determine whether this team for the next "10" years is mediocre with "some" good players looking for a big payday somewhere else after their contract is up, or a stern HC that will create a great team if we follow his system. Growing pains don't always have to be lengthy, some new HC may come right in and win right away, it's been done time and time again in the League. Will this team right the ship starting with the GM and HC, or will this team continue to "bargain basement" it's two most important positions in GM and HC ? That's where it starts because this team has the players to compete. Just my thoughts.
