I would say NYG, Hou and maybe Pitt are debatable.

Both geno and sanchez are below average regular season qb's.

Sanchez stepped it up in playoffs games. Doesn't look like Geno will have that opportunity.

Sanchez had his clutch regular season moments too, but again he wasn't consistent.

Agree. But also throw in SF and Arizona into the debatable category.

we can call them middle of the pack? again, either way we had more than enough offensive talent to be a playoff contender.

Middle of the pack is being kind, and for 7/8 of the season (especially considering Decker being banged up for a while with a hammy) we were likely below that. With Decker being out, we were probably bottom 6 or 7.

I've been on the skill-position kick for years. I am still angry we didn't draft a WR in the 1st round last year.

    It's like that everywhere.

The jets don't have a monopoly on disgruntled fans....just shitty quarterbacks.

Another thing with some of those "debatable" teams is that their best WR is easily better than our best WR. Guys like Larry Fitzgerald , Antonio Brown, and Victor Cruz kill Eric Decker in overall explosiveness. One thing that has killed us this year is the inability to make big plays. We make ZERO big plays.

Edit: Hopefully Percy helps change this over the last 8 games.

Our offense without Harvin was not good enough to be successful on offense with. With Harvin it has the potential to easily be but thats going to take some time. Harvin needs to learn the playbook and all that stuff.

Without Harvin it was Decker and the same crappy group of receivers we'd had for the past 2 seasons minus Holmes who was the best one.

I like Amaro a lot but he's still a rookie and is developing. Ivory is a good RB but he's a pure runner. Not a pass catching threat out of the bacfield. It's definitely our best offense in a while but thats not saying much. Our offenses are always terrible.

    Ahh bullshit.

They're trying to run Harbaugh out of San Fran.

Coughlin was as good as gone after winning the VLT.

    All fans are fickle.

The fan boys are at their best when someone plays worse than their Sanchize Qb. Give it up fan boys, Nacho sucks no matter how you spin it. Stop the dreaming of "if he was here, we would be in playoff contention"crap!
If you know anything about football like you believe you do, you would know better. Geno and Nacho are not that far apart. If they were, why is Geno a starter in the NFL, and Nacho isn't? Nacho probably never will be, just like Geno doesn't need to be at this point.
Nacho couldn't help this team win anymore games than it already has. Get real!

the fact that neither of them matter at this point is the key. AND that neither of them are going to cost us ANY money going forward.

this team should take a qb at some point in every single draft until they find one that is great. i still think that tajh boyd was the best qb the jets had at the start of camp. and i still think his arena league playing ass is the best they have.

I gave you a "like" for the first part of your post, but then I read 'I still think that tajh boyd was the best qb the jets had at the start of camp' and I had to take a like back :(

Those who are hanging on to the idea that Sanchez was going to succeed as QB of the Jets after 2012 are delusional. Neither Smith nor Sanchez is/was the answer. It's time to find a new QB In the draft. Not some retread veteran. People forget how bad Sanchez wax in 2011 and 2012. And Smith just can't protect the football. The skill layers might be slightly better now, but the running game and OL have not been good this season.

I don't think that Nacho or Geno could stand behind the offensive line in Dallas right now and not turn the ball over. If we did have a line that's playing as good as they are, our backs would lead the league in rushing like we did in 09. Our line sucks, and it really complicates the matter of our offense sucking. Fan boys can't see what Nacho had his rookie year. His stats stunk as a rookie, behind maybe the best line in football at the time. I can't imagine the horrible numbers he would put up this year if he was here. Probably very similar to himself, like Geno now.

How did this become this year's catchphrase for every talking head and ink-stained wretch in the football universe? And why?
