why not wait it out and see who surfaces; many times it can be quality, but unknown (not limelight) guy that can suddenly come front and center. The insiders around the league know way more than we do.

Actually that's EXACTLY what we need. A guy who knows how to evaluate talent, with a hands on knowledge of what college players can actually play. Heard of Pete Carroll? His biggest knock was "well he wins bc of talent".

Guess what?? TALENT IS WHAT WINS GAMES. Not blitz schemes or clever offenses. And when u bring in a guy who knows how to evaluate it as your HC, you can build through the draft properly.

Would you prefer another coordinator? Or a coach who has been out of the game for 5+ years?

Did you block out Saban's previous tenure in the NFL where he was terrible with the Dolphins, left them high and dry and as a going away present gifted buddy Belichick with Wes Welker?

you don't hire Nick Saban if you are in love with Pete Carroll's resume, you hire Pete Carroll. their resume's are totally different.

and college coaches don't evaluate college talent for their fit in the NFL, they evaluate high school talent for college. Huuuuge difference between the two and I am not sure how you could even remotely confuse them. when was the last time Nick Saban drafted an All Pro into the NFL?

sorry dont want gruden or cowher

hiring the big name old coaches just dont work..gruden has never been able to develop a QB, and cowher is not leaving to coach anyone and def not a def with out a qb in place.

my list is short not in any order..
harbaugh, dan quin, bevel, or roman

It'll probably be one of the Seattle coordinators.

Time to think outside of the box:

Tony Beets from Gold Rush...I think he could come in, say f*ck, sh!t and motherf*cker until we are running like a finely oiled machine.

Jim Harbaugh, Hue Jackson, or Dave Toub

Here's my wildcard - call me crazy, but I would interview Duke's head coach - David Cutcliffe. Pulled Duke from the depths of hell. He worked with both Manning brothers.

Please no Seattle Coordinators. God no.
