I think having Vick start helps Geno out, he needs to watch the game at this point. Going into Arrowhead vs a really good Chiefs team when you're behind a mediocre pass protecting OLine and can't make throws consistently is not a recipe for success. Let Vick take that beating next Sunday. Geno needs to really learn while on the sidelines. Vick has never been known for his health so most likely, Geno's time will come again to come in for Vick.
Who cares who starts at this point, if it's Geno he'll throw picks. If it's Vick he'll fumble. If it's Simms he'll go 5-18 for no yards.

The only reason I want Geno on the bench is that I know he's going to have a couple games where he shows signs of life. I want his last note this season to be "wow, that sucked, we need to move on" rather than "eh, he played alright at points, let's just bring in competition". That's how bad quarterbacks get us. They always get us to give them one more year. (until we injure them in preseason games behind 4th string linemen)
We don't need to draft any more QB's. We need to draft O-linemen who will protect our QB and help our running game. We have good running backs. That should be the focus of our offense. You play to your strengths. Let Vick finish the season so we can see what he's got. We already know that Geno is not a starter.
