Packers, Bears, Lions, Broncos, and Patriots in all of these games but all lost. Close doesn't cut it in New York!!! I love Rex but it time to shake things up.

who are the cowboys corners? I can't name them either and they are 5-1. apparently my not knowing the names of corners has zero correlation to winning and losing.

I have shitty DB's so leave them on man to man coverage on 3rd and goal from the 18. yeah, Rex is a victim of talent not stupidity.

The Cowboys defense is not much better than last year but their offense is keeping them off the field because murray is a beast

I don't think he should get an extension but I wouldn't be shocked if he gets one last season. This team with a mediocre coach would be getting blown out week in and week out. It's all going to depend on if Woody thinks this year was Rex's fault or if it was because of a lack of talent.

Rex may not be perfect, but I don't see how you can pin this season on him. Idzik screwed up hard, whether he intended to or not (with his supposed plan in place).

I honestly think Woody keeps Rex. Woody isn't dumb, he knows this team doesn't have the talent. If anything, I think he tells Idzik after the season to start spending a bit of that cap space that he's preserved to improve the team.

It wouldn't surprise me if this happened but I think Rex is gone after this year. I didn't want it to end like this, I like Rex and I like his fire but everything comes to an end.

I respect everyone’s opinion on this board but those who think Rex should go should really think about what that means to this team. We won games last year that maybe we shouldn’t have and this year we are losing those games. After the beating we took from SD this team should have folded but it didn’t. We played Manning and Brady in four days and played well, well enough to be in those games in the last few minutes. This is still a “younger” team with holes that need to be filled but they still fight. I was surprised and happy to see the game that Geno played tonight (last night). I want him to succeed because I want to use our picks to fill holes not draft another QB. He seemed calm for the most part and played well, he made plays with his feet when he had to. I would still like him to step up in the pocket instead of going backwards but it’s only his second year.

This team needs time to grow and develop; changing the coaching staff will not help, they need consistency. There is no quit in this team and in my opinion, it starts with Rex Ryan.

They have a dominant offense. Big time QB, big time WR, big time RB, big time OL, supporting WR, trusty TE... Their dominant side of the ball is offense, they don't need top CB's.

Situationally that's really not a bad call. 3rd and 18 is a pretty solid time to run man coverage and send more guys to pressure the QB, especially when New England has shitty receivers.

For all of you that go on and on about Rex needs to be fired Now BS, go down with the ship or the idiotic statement about being nothing but an DC I will say this.
There isn't a coach out there that could do better with the personnel he has had since he has been here and no freaking decent QB to lead this team
You can make all the coaching changes you want and it wll not mean shit till we get some talent at the key spots. Had he been provided some decent no shit NFL talent he would be owning this fucking division.
You guys just go ahead thinking a good director can run a top notch hospital with plumbers instead of doctors.

    Agreed.

Look, Rex isn't without his faults (every coach has faults to an extent, some bad ones obviously have more than that), but Idzik sabotaged him this season. No other way to put it.

It'd be one thing if we had legit talent on this team, and we were getting blown out left and right, or even 1-6 with legit talent. But I just cannot sign off on firing Rex given the team he has this season. And aside from one game, we have been competitive in every single game.

He gets the team fired up against the Patriots, period. Let's see what you're saying after the Jets lose 2 or 3 games to teams they should dominate aka the Bills, Dolphins etc. If you want to extend the coach because his teams play close games against the Patriots you shouldn't be dumping on the GM.

You should get fired from ever posting again LOL. Rex Ryan is a loser HC who has run this team into the ground.

W/L record and playoff appearances are the ultimate indicators for any HC's fate and Rex has failed miserably in both areas for 4 years now.

He would also never accept a demotion to DC. His ego couldn't handle it.

How can people still actually be calling for Rex to stay? Well whatever its a moot point to discuss this because he isn't surviving this shit show of a season. For better or for worse he's gone on black Monday
