If in those circumstances Geno doesn't get benched for Vick at the half we know exactly how the rest of the year is going to play out.
The offense is the problem right now. This is the latest "it's the offense stupid" crisis of the last 6 seasons. The first such crisis was managed by dumbing down the offense and relying on a smothering defense. That was successful but that defense is no longer available. The second was managed by Rex sticking with Sanchez and then relieving him late to try to salvage things. That was unsuccessful because the defense was no longer great by 2012. So here we are in 2014 and the defense is not great and he's got a misfiring QB. History tells us that if Geno keeps screwing up and he doesn't make the switch that we're going 6-10. Time to try something new in that situation. If Vick comes in and gets hurt the Jets just need to keep the blinders off on the second half of the season. They need to clearly evaluate Geno's play over that span of time.
well under rex we have kind of had their number. but we dont have the horses in the secondary this time
there is no way he gets benched. it just doesnt make sense. unless he is hurt you play him, even if it means losses. this season isnt about winning. unfortunetly the fans havent realized that yet.
its not jut the office. we have been making QBs look like gods. in 4 games our opposing QBS ahve combined for" 969 yards 63.1 comp% 9 touchdowns 0 interceptions 101.8 QB rating we have givne up some long drives (the 97 yard drive against the pakcers was deflating) and given up some enormous plays (pryor lost vs the lions) we are average to bad in all 3 phases right now.
It's not just the offense, but the offense has been the key problem. We lost all 3 games by one possession. Thinking about the RZ mistakes the offense made or dumb turnovers, well that one score deficit falls more on the offense in my opinion
I just saw this thread and I thought it was a sarcastic joke. Someone actually thought this was possible. With the worst talent in football? The GM should be fired for this criminal performance this offseason. What a disaster. The 2nd worst team in football. And we beat the worst. Get ready for 2-14.
Yeah, we barely beat the worst team in the NFL with a rookie QB having his 1st start. That should have given insight in the season to come.
