if your talking all-time, its hard to rank him because he hasn't played that many games

Current I say 4-6 when hes healthy and on his best game. However due to injuries and all I wouldnt take him in the top 5 if I had to choose a qb.

    6-10 or so sounds accurate.

I mean these are some names I would take ahead of him:

Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb, but after that, I have to think. There are names like Eli Manning, Matt Hasselbeck, Brett Favre (a good game). So, is he elite? Not really. Good? definitley.

Eli Manning is not a top 10 quarterback in this league, he might be one day but so far he hasnt proved anything that would say he is.

How the hell do you mention Eli Manning among top 10 qb's? He is the most overrated player in the NFL besides vick.

i think pennington is a top 10 qb and when healthy between the 4-6 range
id have to say that eli is a top 10 qb...considering the lack of top tier guys in the game right now..i know he is overated but so are alot of qbs
i would take pennington over guys like delhomme/hasselbeck/bulger b/c he does not make mistakes

Pennington is a top 5 QB in the NFL so far this year. When he is healthy there aren't many guys better than he is. I picked 4-6 because I would put him at 4 or 5.

    Manning
    Palmer
    Brady
    McNabb
    Pennington

As for this year he has been a top 3 QB with Manning and McNabb.

Ok this may be a little excessive. Maybe I'd put him at 10...possibly even 9 at best.

Top QB's Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Carson Palmer,

    Next Flight
Steve McNair, Big Ben, McNabb, Brees, Hasslebeck Pennington

    After them
    Plummer, Bulger, Farve, Bledsoe....etc

Here's my list for this season, given stats, potential and history.

    1) Peyton
    2) McNabb
    3) Brady
    4) Palmer
    5) Bulger
    6) Brees

After that, it's pretty wide open. I'd say you can argue Chad would fall between 7-10.

At any time, healthy or not, Chad ranks "Tom Brady + 1"

I agree, if McNabb is not 1 or 2 on your list, you're missing something....

Id say top five... top three feels like a tiny bit of a stretch. Peytons number one. Carson Palmer is looking like hes gonna be pushing for that designation for the next few years, and hell eventually get it when Peyton gets too old. After that... I guess you have to give Brady a bit of an edge because of everything hes done, but when they went head to head three weeks ago, Pennington looked like the much better player. And I guess Id put McNabb in the running for top five too. After Manning and Palmer, you can rank them however you want, but those to me are probably the 5 best.

And the idea that Eli Manning is top anything, is just bogus.

He's one of the best when it comes to accuracy and decision making. If you saw the stat last sunday, that INT Chad threw in the red zone was his first of his career! I know most teams would kill for accuracy like that. So Chad is easily top 5 when healthy.
