Thomkins and Matt Simms played together in college. Here is the backstory. http://www.si.com/more-sports/2010/09/02/simms-thompkins
This guy was riding the bench though and was only active for 2 games so far this year. His value to me, just comes down to being able to pick his brain before we play New England. I don't think he's much of a player.
My initial thought is yes, but I thought grabbing Sudfeld was a steal from them and he hasn't developed as well as hoped
The guy we should've been signed is Greg Little. Younger, bigger, faster, and much more upside than all these bums we've signed.
The chance that he's worse than the last WR on our depth chart is supremely unlikely, I see no reason not to bring him on board even if it's just for a week or so if it doesn't work out.
It's not like we'd be signing him to start, he'd be at the back end of the depth chart. I like his athleticism, but I don't have any great expectations. I'd like them to sign him simply to upgrade the lower end of the depth chart. At least he can fucking get open. Not for nothing, it might just have something to do with Thompkins being more of a weapon deep, and it doesn't exactly look like Brady has been able to utilize deep weapons this year.
Thread title never got changed? I thought we put him on ps a few weeks ago. Now he will be active Sunday.
When he was signed to the PS there was never a thread made. Being that this was during a Patriot game week felt more appropriate here than a new thread. Although DBH or F21 will most likely make a thread at some point. Here's to Kenbrell scoring 4 TD's on his old team.
