Suck to lose 2nd straight close game, but there were some positives, whether for this season or the next few:

    - We played a tight game against a pretty good team, where we really had a lot of things go against us, the ref calls, the injuries (Decker), a few terrible turnovers and dropped ints, and yet we were still in the game. We probably won't have everything go against us every game this year (though as a Jets fan, you never know :) )

    - I like our pass rush. I know some fans are knocking it, because apparently they expect 10 sacks a game every game, but we had 4 sacks today, and lots of qb hurries. Wilkerson finished with 1.5 sacks, but more importantly, I am really seeing improvement from Richardson in that area. He had one sack today, should've had another if not for an obvious hold that wasnt even called, 2 QB hits, and a pass knocked down at the line. Last year, the knock on him was that he wasn't much of a factor in pass rushing, but this year, he seems a lot more active, if not getting a lot of sacks yet, then at least producing qb hurries and hits. Davis is also starting to get pretty good in that area, getting half a sack today after two last week, and Coples I thought did ok. That one play, he hit the ball in Cutler's hand and should've caused an interception if Allen doesnt drop it. Pace and Babin are also active, so overall, we might not be dominant in that area yet, but we can produce pressure now without blitzing every play.

    - Pryor had that one really nice pass defense with his back hand, and although he wasn't great today, he didn't have any gaffes like last week. Let's hope he can improve in pass coverage as the season goes along.

    - Amaro had some nice catches. Wasn't a flawless game for him, but I think we have to find ways to target him more. The guy is a huge target, which is a big deal with a qb like Geno, who isn't exactly the best at squeezing the ball into tight spaces. Now with Decker iffy, Amaro has got to see his role increase.

Definitely legitimate signs for hope, but more than anything I hope Decker gets back out on the field this week. He is a huge factor for us.

  3. It's time for Amaro to replace Cumby as the starter moving forward. This is the best thing for both players. Amaro has got to be featured more as he has proven that he can be a very good chain mover & downfield threat. I don't really understand why he's never out there in the red zone..seems like a no brainer.

Cumby is best as a #2 role running down the seam.

The defensive line and really the front 7 played well. I'm liking what I'm seeing from Davis and Coples. The secondary played with pride tonight. Amaro looks legit, Kerley is as good as advertised. Ivory ran the ball well.

    Good post.

As much as it sucks to lose not every loss should be taken without some positives.

1-2 is what I expected after 3 games. If we lose to the Lions then I'll panic

I like our defensive line, our running game and Jeremy Kerley. I dislike our ineffective coach who only
thinks about defensive, our offensive coordinator who's playing calling sucks, and our quarterback
who only does well in a shotgun spread offense.

Bears are really not that good. Not to mention that were ravaged by injuries.

Though Marshall and Jeffery are banged up, we really held them in check and didn't sacrifice run defense. Very happy about that.

That being said, with an injured decker, I'm really only seeing O positives with ivory.

Same old story, stupid turnovers and inconsistent offense will kill us.

Not sure if I'm the only one that felt this way,

But our o-line was really beast in pass protection.

Also, just like last year, where there was a huge difference with geno with kerley and geno without kerley,

Geno's performance is very correlated with whether decker is playing or not.
