If Decker can't play they are in trouble on offense. They aren't using the TE enough and they can't go with Kerley/Nelson as #1/#2.
Really liked Fuller. I was shocked the Bears took him as high as they did. I thought for sure he would one of the players available for us to choose from at 18.
Send Alshon deep so he can tweak that hammy some more! Someone roll up on Marshall's ankle! I don't want to see serious injury, but it sure would be nice if both those guys sat. I just don't see how we can cover them.
"The bears have outscored the 49ers 28-3 since the 2 minute warning of the first half" *Jets fans shiver* Too soon, too soon
Rex and Marty are not going to let Geno take the kind of ill-advised shots that Kaep is taking against the Bears. We're not going to take the Cover 2 bait.
Just run it straight down the middle with Ivory. To quote the late great Biggie Smalls, the middle of their defense is "soft like a Twinkie filling".
Who remembers last time we played the Bears? I do. Pass rush couldn't get to Cutler and he just chucked it up, scoring touchdowns. He also found Forte often in space. If we can clean this up, we win. Gotta pressure Cutler. With Wilkerson playing a full four quarters, this might be possible.
I don't wanna be a downer or overreact but after today I won't be surprised if we lose the next 5 games. Which I see feasible if our corners dont step up
Three huge things for me going into this game. 1. Need Decker healthy (offense changed without him) 2. Milliner needs to be healthy 3. Hell of a lot happier that the Bears are not 0-2 back against the wall and rather will be coming in high off of a win. Tough to face a team with their backs against the wall.
If the Jets can play well for 60 minutes, they can easily beat the Bears. Oh wait, I forgot: The Jets NEVER play well for 60 minutes.
We have a great opportunity against the Bears, as their offense is good but simply not on the same level as Green Bay's. If we get after Cutler like we got after Rodgers, we'll be looking at picks not throw aways. Cutler has a big arm and can make a lot of plays, but he makes way more mistakes that Rodgers. I also think our running game will be more effective against the Bears than the Packers. The Packers defense may be better than everyone thought, since they added some new players it may have taken a week or two to start to run smoothly, I guess we'll see. I don't see the Packers game as one we let slip away, I see it more like we got a little lucky early, and we added to that luck with great playcalling and execution. Rodgers won that game for them, as he's done to many other teams, and their home field advantage most certainly was a significant factor. The Packers may very well be the #2 team in the NFC, so making a real game of it isn't the worst thing that could have happened. The Bears in our house is going to be a different story. Cutler is less athletic, less adept at throws on the run, and a worse decision maker than Rodgers. There is no way he will be able to run away from our front 7 like Rodgers was able to. If we can really get the crown energy going, I am pretty confident about this game.
