What are these rules for the no huddle? I really can't see what he can be complaining about. I mean in the end his team won, right?
I don't get the beef. If he keeps this up I will start refering to him as: Dungee - a person who likes to eat poo.
i dont think he realizes that if the colts cant substitute NEITHER CAN THE JETS! it's completely even. I mean if the jets are running a no huddle like dungy is describing, the jets cant sub players. maybe dungy just wasn't fast enough to make his substitutions. Stop crying dungy, face it, we're better than u think and your not as good as you think
What a ****. The Colts are getting under my nerves more and more this year. I hope they fall flat on their faces once again.
Here are the rules that were instituted: In response to this tactic the NFL instituted many rules related to this tactic some including: Allowing the defense ample time for substitutions if the offense does If a player's injury causes the play-clock to stop, the player must sit out at least one play Charging a time-out to a team when a player is injured within a certain time period of the game http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Huddle_Offense
from the wikipedia article: Other teams, like the Indianapolis Colts under Peyton Manning...sometimes go almost the whole game without ever getting in a real huddle. interesting....
I like Peyton and the Colts, but I think Dungy is holding that team back. He's a good coach, but he'll never win the big one.
Seriously! They are looking for any excuse to mask the fact that the loley Jets gave them a run for their money. I've been scoping a few of the Colt's message boards and have heard all kinds of crap about how "terrible" the officiating was and how we obviously "paid off" the refs. Here's how I see it... The window for the Colts has all but closed. They've had their Super team and now it has become depleted and banged up. So now it's time for them to start pointing fingers.
And they most certainly will. I can't believe this! They win, and they still whine! They deserve to go 15-1 and lose 41-0 at home to a wild card team in the first round. A^^h###
On the Sirius radio this morning they were saying that more and more teams are mixing in no-huddle offenses to keep certain defensive packages on the field to gain a competitive edge. If you watched last nights eagles/packers game Farve called his team to the line quickly on numerous occasions only to go back and re-huddle. Also, during the Jet game, didn't Indy come to the line real quickly and do a quick snap on both TDs before the jets D got set??? WTF is dungy whining about..
