Nothing new here. He has a bone on bone condition in his knee. I think he probably will not be back. I could be wrong, but it just sounds like the mileage has overcome the heart.

He's probably done but I wish mangini would let him atleast come to the games on the side lines considering he's been the face of the franchise for the better part of the last decade. Seems disrespectful and from what we know about Curtis he is probably dying being away from the team.

The talk on Curtis should start to pick up again pretty soon.

I really hope that Curtis can come back at least for a few games. I would love to see him behind center again.

Having C-Mart would be a major lift for the jets. Not only is he a hall of fame running back but he is a major leader of the team.

Does anyone know anything about bone on bone conditions?

Is it even possible for it to get better?

Thanks for the update. I do agree that he would be huge lift mentally to the jets.

It is a condition that will make it difficult to cut. He will probably need knee replacement some day...

I hate to say it, but I think Curtis Martin's career is finished, and yes a knee replacement in his later years is almost a guarantee.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong.

C Mart was at the game on Sunday he was in the Luxuary Box the next section over from where I was sitting. He looked miserable. From his facial expressions he is not ready to give up and is doing whatever he can to come back and play.

If the man can't go and you don't know if he will be able to you cannot let him near the sidelines. Too many players will be looking at him and thinking "what if" and not enough will be dealing with "what is".

If we see Curtis on the sidelines this year it will either mean he is in uniform or he has just announced his retirement.
