i hadnt seen it either cause i was listening to the game in the car but they just showed it on espn.. they might be showin it in a few minutes cause they are doing The Blitz on nfl.. right now
Just watched ESPN highlights, and I'm sick to my stomach looking at how close we were to winning that game. This sucks, the only thing worse would be if this was a bye week. I'm physically nauseous thinking about how the defense kicked this game away.
That last play created some oddball stats. PASS RECEIVING NO YDS AVG LG TD L.Coles 6 81 13.5 19 0 J.Cotchery 3 65 21.7 33 1 T.Dwight 3 31 10.3 15 0 L.Washington 1 8 8.0 8 0 C.Baker 1 6 6.0 6 0 S.Ryan 1 6 6.0 6 0 C.Houston 1 5 5.0 5 0 B.Smith 1 -4 -4.0 -1 0 C.Pennington 0 7 0.0 7 0 J.McCareins 0 2 0.0 2 0 Total 17 207 12.2 33 1 That is correct. Pennington caught 0 passes for 7 yards today. Brad Smith caught 1 pass for -4 yards, even though he had a long reception for -1 yard (he lost 3 on the lateral on the final play). Reminds me of Lenny Moore's 1957 kickoff return stats. He returned 0 kickoffs for 92 yards and 1 touchdown!
I don't know what I would have done if they won on that last play. I really thought Coles (on his 2nd touch on that play) was going to run right through the middle into the endzone. If not him, then Mangold was going to run it in. It was an exiciting finish. I'm sure it will be on youtube soon if it isn't already.
Haha, all I gotta say is that it would suck to come up with the stats for that play. I was so caught up in all the insanity that I didn't even know where they were on the field.
As far as the final play is concerned we should see some changes to the original boxscore. The Elias Sports Bureau will probably only count receiving statistics up to the point of the first fumble. All activity after the first fumble will either count as fumble recovery stats or it will not count- period. You see, the problem is the Jets committed multiple fouls on the final play as I noted earlier tonight in a different thread. In the final two minutes of a game, for any fumble that occurs during a down, the fumbled ball may only be advanced by the offensive player who fumbled the ball, or any member of the defensive team. This is the Holy Roller Rule. The referees should have thrown their flags. Elias will also probably add a penalty to the official boxscore. Listed below are the receiving stats as of right now. Note that the Smith stats are still 1 catch for -4 yards, even though he had a reception for -1 yard earlier in the game. The Pennington 0-7 and McCareins 0-2 stats are not present. Elias will probably figure it all out some time this week. Code: RECEIVING REC YDS TD LG L. Coles 6 81 0 19 J. Cotchery 3 65 1 33 T. Dwight 3 31 0 15 L. Washington 1 8 0 8 C. Baker 1 6 0 6 S. Ryan 1 6 0 6 C. Houston 1 5 0 5 B. Smith 1 -4 0 -1 FUMBLES FUM LOST REC YDS N. Mangold 1 1 0 -7 J. McCareins 1 0 0 0 C. Pennington 1 1 0 0 B. Smith 1 0 1 -7 L. Coles 0 0 1 13
i was wondering how they would score that, like in baseball when a guy gets caught in a pickle and it turns out to be a 6-4-2-4-1-9-8-3-2-1-4-5 blah blah etc etc double play  cant wait for jacksonville
