He doesnt do it yet because he has not been asked to do it. There will come a time where they ask him to operate a very high powered offense and I believe he can do it. (Probably next season after Wilson gets his 20 million dollar contract).
Im not gunna try to make a big deal about the Packers, but ill be honest, they look hollow. They really do, and its going to come down to the divisional games again, and if you take Rodgers off that team, its not a good roster unlike past years where they had guys fill in and still succeed.
I hear ya...and thats why the seahawks are smart to ease him in the take the reins...if he was a Jet he would labeled a "game manager" never get the credit he deserves....."yea he threw 26 touchdowns but.....hes not a field general like Peyton or Brady" or "all the receivers are wide open I wanna see him throw it into coverage with accuracy like peyton"
That's what happens when your offense controls the ball and the defense is rested. I bet if Wilson was an average QB and the offense could not sustain drives, their defense would be spent and could not generate pressure on the QB. Seattle is incredibly well balanced.
Seems like Packers will have a hard time running against us and hopefully their OLine is weak enough that we can generate enough of a pass rush to stop their passing game. If not then we're basically strong against their weak point and they are strong against our weak point so it could go either way.
Our running game is going to destroy the Packers if they don't fix their run defense. Their best offensive lineman went down also. I feel better about facing the Packers.
You guys are getting way ahead of yourselves. GB lost to the best team in the league. The Jets still have Oakland this Sunday. Week 2 is still on the road.
I'm very much awaiting the Raiders game, but you cannot look at this Packers team and think maybe we have more of a chance then originally thought.
I misread them honestly, I thought they were as good as last year. (They were heading toward 11-12 wins if Rodgers had stayed healthy). I look at this team and it looks inept, it looks weak, and Rodgers is going to have to take it to the level he did in 2011, and im not even sure thats enough if the Oline is gunna crap out.
Fans can look ahead but hopefully the Jets aren't. This just shows how good the Seahawks are. They have the best chance to repeat since the Patriots.
Their biggest strength is their passing game, especially their ability to stretch the field. That is our biggest weakness. It will all come down to our ability to get a ton of pressure on Rodgers. If he has time, it'll get ugly for us.
I don't see that at all. The Packers could easily have been tied at 17 at the half if Rodgers takes two steps forward for a 1st down instead of throwing a bad pass in the last 2 minutes of the first half. The Seahawks beat them up and wore them down. You think the jets D is that kind of physical to do the same thing? I don't know if any other team has that.
Rodgers isn't taking 2 steps forward if Calvin Pryor / David Harris is close by Rodgers, I will guarantee you that. In regards to your bold part - ABSOLUTELY. Did you not see us play the Saints last season? We imposed our will on Drew Brees and beat him down, the rest of the team gave up shortly after. We have done the same thing to your QB on numerous occasions.
Seahawks strengths are the linebackers and secondary. Ours is the D line. We're going to manhandle that Green Bay O line.
