or maybe it's a case of "we know he sucks, lets see if we got someone that can play"

So great!!! I would like to add after this play Hill would be limping and waving to the sideline for somebody to replace him...

"Worst cornerback draft picks in New York Jets history!"

Kyle Wilson – 1st round, 29th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft
Kyle Wilson has become one in a long line of cornerbacks Rex Ryan has drafted in his tenure as Jets head coach. His philosophy is to add as many athletic guys as you can. But at times, at least in hindsight, that kind of thinking has looked like reaching. Wilson was expected to fit in across from Darrell Revis, creating two shut down corners and allow the Jets to blitz. Wilson, while talented and a solid player, hasn’t developed that shut down ability. He’s mostly become the Jets nickel cornerback, a key position in today’s league. But that’s mostly because it proved too difficult to cover a team’s top one or two targets. You can’t call him a bust because he plays solid defense, but three interceptions (one in the last 2 seasons) just can’t cut it for a 1st round pick.

i dont know about all that... he played good the year revis went down and he had to step up to the #2. He's also not bad in the nickel IMO he's above average at the postiton. He's far from a play maker but ... u know what nevermind scratch what i said he does stink after what i've been seeing lately. I cant even defend the shit anymore

this is why i'm afraid rex won't dump him. he's one of rex' picks. even though he sux he plays. one of the few things i don't like about rex. he sticks with his guys too long. eg: bart scott

Lol so dramatic, Wilson was the only CB drafted while Rex was in town until Milliner last year.

Brutha' JetLifeLo, I was of the same mind-set as you. I gave him EVERY benefit of the doubt in hoping he could/would improve his cover skills & technique from his 1st year onward. But unfortunately he CONTINUES to
replicate the same, aggravating mistakes today that he made in his 1st year. He is NOT a viable alternative to the loss of Cro or Revis & is always "4 cents short" in the nickel position. Opposing rec'vrs know how to mess with his mind causing him to do idiotic acts that are called for foolish penalties. For all his physical traits & whatnot, he is NOT yr "thinking man's" corner. In 4 years, he has ZERO sacks when blitzing & last year had ONLY 1 pass-defensed in 16 games! There comes a time when the CS has to realize that the individual is useless in it's defensive scheme; similar to mgmt realizing that Vern Gholston was nothing more that a weight-room "phenom" rather than a skilled, def.
    lineman.

    Jus' sayin'........

As i was fake praising him in the other post all i could see in my head is an idiot running like a chicken with his head cut off and his hands up in the air, really having no knowledge of whats going on behind him at all... couldnt even finish the post with what i had in mind.. dude stinks... freakin stinks.. #FreeWalls

You can't rest every single guy who has clinched a roster spot. It's still an NFL game. You have to play at least 25-30 guys.

There's no way Lankster is on the bubble. He's arguably the best STs player on the team outside of Folk and he's a pretty decent dime CB option.
