Listen I'm glad the jets played hard and didn't lose 50-0....we played as best we could, this is impressive we ran the ball. We played well... and all of these posts quetioning mangini...let's be real if they had scored that touchdown half of you guys would be praising him. So you've gotta look at the positives. Got jets next week:up:
My biggest beef is the way the defense caved in the fourth quarter yet again. This has been the story of every game so far. Either allowing teams to make a come back, or not giving their own offense a chance to make one. That's what cost the game. Otherwise, i'm very impressed with this team right now. Very encouraging going forward.
Exactly the guys I really hate are the ones who bach mangini and if they had scored theyd be going down on him
Hey we went toe to toe with two of the AFCs strongest teams and almost won them both. We are doing this with some serious parts at important spots that does not fit. Plus Mangini is learning, we are going in the right direction. We might be able to make some noise this year.
As soon as that ball Kerry Rhoes tipped in the air landed just out of the outstretch reach of Vilma, I had a bad feeling . I am proud about my Jets and all week will do nothing but sing their praises and think about the future prospects of this franchise, which finally looks to be heading in the right direction. Growing pains are never fun
I agree with you,it's just hard to view it this way right away. I'll feel better by tuesday. We had this game. We should have had it. I guess the proper way to see it is that we were supposed to be a 5-11 team this year, and right now it looks like it could turn out a hell of a lot better. But damn,we shoulda won today.
Good game, Jets fans! I watched bits and pieces of it on the Erie, Pa station while watching the Bills beat the Vikes. Both games were exciting, but the Bills-Vikes was supposed to be a "pick 'em" match while the Jets were supposed to get blown away, so that they didn't ought to give fans a real boost. In fact, they almost gave Indy more than they could handle. I hope the Bills can do as well when it's their turn. Don't get blinded by shoulda, woulda, coulda ... realistically, neither the Jets nor the Bills are likely to make the playoffs this season, but things are looking up for both teams, so enjoy the wins and take satisfaction that your team did better than just about anybody who doesn't follow the AFCE thought they could do! Oh, yeah, and be happy you're not a Fish fan!!!
We should have won. Forget this rebuild crap. It was game time. We could have had it. We caught the Colts off guard and played them better than just about any other team they played so far this season. Beer me.....
I agree completely. If this defensive lapse would have been a one-time thing then I don't think a lot of people would be so upset. I understand that they have changed schemes, but on some of those passes by Manning where the Jets were rushing three guys the WR were wide open. To me that definitely is cause for concern.
A lot of people are also critisizing the guy on the kickoff who picked it up...but think about it. He probably thought 1 guy up fronth had already touched it how's he supposed to know?
a moral victory is not a victory...i worry about us playing jacksonville...its up to mangini and the staff to get the guys over this game in a hurry, cause with a young team, a 2-3 start could be damaging to their psyche this loss may make or break the season
For the condition our team is in with the way we played that game, a loss is just too devastating. Good teams win the close ones.
