Hi guys, I'm coming over for the game just after Xmas. Is there an area of the Dolphins Stadium that I should try to buy a ticket in, where Jets fans traditionally go? Cheers, Pete
At Sun Life Stadium (the Dolphins' stadium) there is Sections 113, 114, and 115 which are popular among visiting fans since they are located immediately behind the visiting team's benches. If you're lucky you could get a ticket for about $200, but $300 - $500 is more likely. Generally, visiting team fans tend to buy tickets on the side of the stadium where their team's bench is, so that's usually the best bet. If you want to save some money and don't mind being further away from the action, go for the sections that are behind 113, 114, and 115. You could get tickets in section 414 for about $50, also possibly tickets in 214 for a similar or slightly higher price. 214 is probably the best value, but 114 would probably be the best overall experience.
Every Jet Dolphin game I have gone to in Miami it does not matter where you sit there will be a bunch of Jets fans around. I usually just pick up tickets the day of the game and pay $30-$40 for upper deck or $90-$100 for lower from scalpers, been 2 years since the last time. You can get lowers behind the Jets bench right now for as low $160 on http://www.stubhub.com/miami-dolphi...-gardens-sun-life-stadium-12-28-2014-9037779/ . Being you are coming over for the game I would assume you want to have the good tickets locked up, I live in state so I can take the chance on game day.
I've been to 10 of them since 2000, and the games at the end of the season, as far as crowd goes, is totally dependent on how we're both doing. Even last year, when we still had a shot to knock them out (and did!) there were a lot less Jet fans than, say, if the game was in October and both teams still had hope - then it's damn near 50-50.

There's more Jets fans than Dolphins fans, trust me. Been to over 50 games there. The opposing team always has more fans, especially the Jets. I went to the Steelers game there like 5 years ago. The fuckin place was mobbed with Pittsburgh fans. It sounded like a midget was cheering when Miami scored compared to Pitt. Worst fan base in all of sports
Also, the area around the stadium is crap, so, it's not like in Europe where you'll go to a community, hang out at a pub & walk over to the stadium. It's drive in, drive out & get the hell away from there. If you're looking to places to stay, Miami Beach if you're <30, Ft. Lauderdale if you're <50, and Sunny Isles if you're already dead. Lincoln road in Miami Beach is a good place to people watch for lunch outdoors, etc. Try to hit that at least once while you're down there.
Thank you guys for all your help, really appreciate it. Let's hope that we're in with a shot of the playoffs and the place is mobbed with Gang Green. With the Dolphins coming to Wembley this year I will get to see the Fish loose twice! ;-)
