Apparently Pouncey tweeted a joke about hazing one of there draft picks and quickly took it down. The FO was not amused. _
I guess they figure when you make 12 picks a few have to stick and any draft that gets you 3 keepers is very successful.
Whose Power Rankings are these and who projects Vick to be the number one? Any rationale there or is this all we get?
After FA and the draft I'd say the team goes as far as the OL and QB play can take it. Considering the amount of holes and lack of depth on the roster to start the offseason that's pretty close to best case scenario especially when you factor the extra option at QB. If one or two guys wake up and play guard well and Giacomini plays like what was paid for the team could be a strong playoff contender. Probably not that likely but assuming OL is a weakness it could still easily be a playoff team with a puncher's chance.
i wouldn't exactly call it illegal and dangerous - there are many other teams that look better on offense - albeit on paper - but its gotta be an improvement over last year...... of course as jet luck would have it - now that we have NFL caliber offensive players - we get a slew of injuries along the OL.....man that would suck.
fa is where the team gets vets who can play the game----jets got vick chris Johnson decker and breno----with our cash under the cap should have signed drc at cb plus one or two OL----the first two picks in the draft look good but all the 10 others are reaches-----this happens year after year-----jets drafts always fall short----maybe one or two guys are good----the rest are just marginal------its no way to challenge the patriots
The prospect of taking Odell Beckham on the 9 will do that to a team. I think the Bills really screwed up trading up for a WR and giving up two 1sts in the process but I think Beckham on the 9 was a blackhole anyway so if that was their default move I think they broke even.
How they give up 2 1st round picks? They got a pick in 1st rd this year. They really only gave up 1 1st rd pick.
^^^ Did anyone notice the glaring mistake in the last line? "......Calvin Pryor in the first round and cornerback Dexter McDougle in the second."
That's more like it. It only works if they under rate the Jets and declare our upcoming season a disaster. It's funny how we're ranked under a bunch of 7-9 teams, the falcons, giants etc etc when we drastically improved the offense in multiple ways. I guess it's the safe way to bash the Jets considering how utterly stupid they looked last year ranking us at #32 and watching us climb near the top 10 at one point.
How did we move down two spots in ESPN's power rankings.. Fuck them.. Put us at 32 again. Then we can shock the world when we end Week 17 at 1.
They gave up two 1st round picks in the trade, plus a 4th. The 1st this year and a 1st and the 4th next year. It would have been even value for them to just give up their 1st and 2nd this year to get the 4. That was the kind of trade up they should have looked at, assuming they were going to trade up. The Bills have drafted in the top 10 about two-thirds of the years in the last decade. Giving up next year's 1st round pick was a big deal. The odds are it was another prime pick.
I think what he is getting at is that the didn't really give up their first round pick this year. In essence, they traded it to move up, thus still having a first round pick. Whether they made the trade or not, they still had a first round pick this year.
