Cortez Kennedy....man how I wanted him instead of Blair Thomas in the 90 draft. Honorable mentions go to seau (same draft) and Marino, of course
I'll go with Reggie white, the man could single handedly destroy offenses, to bad we couldn't have lured him in, instead of the Packers
In my opinion, Bruce Smith of the Buffalo Bills. Have you ever seen him being interviewed--He is/was one of the most articulate athletes I've seen interviewed, and he constantly gave credit to his teammates and the opposition. He would have a super bowl ring if Norwood hadn't wide right.
Gotta be Reggie White for me. I just couldn't get enough of him just destroying one half of an offensive line single handedly. He didn't look human.
For me easily ,,,Barry Sanders,,,,,,,,,,,,guy was one of the best ever ,,,,,,,class and greatness wrapped into one .
are folks really voting for dan fucking marino? favorite nfl player who never played for the jets, someone you respected from another team. each and every one of you who voted for this cocksucker should just go jump off a bridge in a reggie roby jersey. how in the fuck could any self respecting jets fan vote for dan fucking marino in this. nice gloves douchebag
Offense | Historic: old Frantic Fran; Current: Adrian Peterson Defense | Historic: Deacon Jones; Current (relatively): Troy Polamalu
While what I understand of history tells me Jim Brown was the greatest football player of all time, I did not follow him, so I don't have that connection to him. Did want to mention him, though. A guy quite not so far back in history that I had more of an interest in was Kenny Stabler. What a character. But for someone who I both respected their football ability and admired the way they played the game in a more general sense, I would have to say John Elway. He kept at it, going through 3 SB losses when he did not have enough support, kept going and eventualy was rewarded with 2 SB wins, going out on top. I also always thought that he was a great leader, who helped get the most out of his team. I was by no stretch a Broncos fan, but I had to admire his play. Of current players, I sort of like the Packers, and Aaron Rodgers.
alleycat, Ben Had (known in Dolphin circles as Ben Dover) is a finheaven.com troll who loiters and litters TGG on occassion (think: BuffaloPsycho in teal-clearly no big deal).
