I'm looking at the stats of both teams, and from what I see:

Both teams' offenses have very similar stats... QB close, but Penny is doing better... Running game is very close, with no one dominating, Jets feature back Barlow is doing better than Colts feature back Rhodes... Receiving game very close.

The defense of the colts has 1 interception, while the Jets have 5... The colts have 4 sacks, while the Jets have 6... Both teams have 3 fumble recoveries... Colts have 145 tackles, while the Jets have 169.

The Colts are 3-0, and they are do for a loss. I think the Jets should hand one to them!

Thanks for the sarcasm. Just saying that if people think the Colts have an easy win, they're entirely wrong.

After week 1 win we all thought we could become a playoff team.
After week 2 loss we were just a team rebuilding, wait until next year, but we'll still win a few.
After week 3 win we are now prepared to defeat the best regular season team the past few years. I see us playing well, but not really threatening for a Win. Jets are better than they were but Indy is a great team. While it is still possible for the Jets to finish above .500, let's not get unrealistic hopes of beating a much better team than us. Buffalo, Tennnessee are not good and even New England isn't that great. We are 2-1, I think we finish over.500, but no way we beat Indy.

The Colts are not as good as they used to be.

The Jets are not as bad as everyone thought they'd be.

If we ever did win this game, it would shock the world. I don't know what the betting line is, but if I was making it, I'd say Jets +6, only because we're home.

I don't think we'll win, but it's not as farfetched as it was, say, 4 weeks ago.

"No way"? Maybe the Jets should just forfeit the game and rest a week. I jest of course. The Jets have a great QB with great receivers. Barlow is getting better each week. Our defense is forcing key turnovers... something the Colts have not been doing nearly as well. There is absolutely no reason that we cannot win this game. As I said, the Colts are due ("do") for a loss, and we should be the ones to give it to them.

And let me throw this out... If the Jets do beat the Colts, the following week we will be playing against the team that the Colts just beat.

We should have beaten the 12-4 Jags last year when we finished 4-12. If Chad hadn't gotten hurt and Chrebet hangs on the the ball, we would have beaten them. Jags do look better this year than last year, but I still don't think they are an elite team.

Of course the Jets have a chance to win, but if we don't put some pressure on Manning, and even though the Jets get sacks, we rarely apply consistent pressure to the QB, he will pick us apart, doesn't matter how good the secondary is. We have to get in Mannings face and that is a weakness on this team. I expect the Jets to hang in their offensively, I just don't see us stopping Manning and Co. very often.

If the jets play a mistake free game and the running game starts to work, I can definitely see us pull out an upset this weekend. And if we do, we have a serious shot at being 7-1 or 6-2 at the bye week.

When was the last time you saw any team play mistake free?

The only way we win is to hit Manning early and make him crumble like he always does when a team gets physical. Otherwise they will out finesse anyone.

One thing to remember about these Colts, like us, they have absolutely no running game. There is no Edgerrin James to worry about, so in that sense, its a plus for the defense. I really think this is a winnable game, and would be a HUGE victory for Mangini.

Shit, and I thought they were Due for a loss.
Oh well, there goes that upset...j/k

The stat observation seems like fluff for a sunshiner approach for a Win.
Look a little Deeper and you'll see.
    JETS vs Bills, Titans, Pats
    Colts vs Giants, Texans, Jags.

Holy crap! Those teams suck just as bad as the Ones we Played....
You may be on to something here..

Only difference is they Beat the 1 Good team they played, while we lost to ours.

If we can upset either the Colts or the Jags we have a great shot to be 6-2 at the bye.

That's what I'm hoping for. Winning one of the next 2 games is huge. After that, the next 3 should be cakewalks. I'd be psyched with 6-2 at the bye week, same start as 04.

There are no cakewalk games just games we can win if we play hard, smart and focused. We aren't good enough to look past anyone.

    Hehe Well said.

Let's Be realistic. The Colts are good. Even without edge, they have J. Addai an up and coming rookie, getting ready to take over. They still have Marv Harrison and Reggie wayne, and they got quite a fearsome tandam with mathis and Freeney, and lets not forget about thier TE's who seem to be always open.

But, on a positive note, we have the Mangina. Who else could rally up the defense to bring the pain, and maybe knock a few teeth out. They way to beat this colt team, is just to be more phyiscal, just like the patirots always were. Disguise your defense, maybe sneak rhodes up to the line and, surprise, drop him back into coverage. I see our defense being young enough and stoopid enough, to not even realize who's the guy throwing the ball. And that might play to our advantage.

But enough sunshine. Colts 28 Jets 13.

I must thank the Jets for at least giving a good september to be happy about. :)
