Monday Morning QB (cont.) Posted: Monday September 25, 2006 10:31AM; Updated: Monday September 25, 2006 12:02PM ~ ~ ~ Defensive Players of the Week Ken Hamlin, FS, Seattle. ~ ~ Kerry Rhodes , SS, New York Jets. The more you watch the rangy and versatile second-year safety from Louisville, the more it looks like he'll be a big star -- and soon. In the 28-20 win over Buffalo, he attacked the pocket for two sacks of J.P. Losman, forced two fumbles and collected 10 tackles. > http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/peter_king/09/24/mmqb.9.25/3.html
Rhodes is playing great, seem to improve each game. Think he will be even better if we could get a decent NT, in fact that would help Vilma as well. THE FUTURES LOOKING A BIT BRIGHTER THESE DAYS !!!!
http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/419435 The man is on track to get over 125 tackles, 15 sacks, and 5 picks if he keeps at this rate :breakdance:
I wouldn't mind if it went to Ken Hamlin. His rookie season he was on awesome. On the verge of being an excellent safety in this league... Then that night in the bar where he got his skull cracked, or something along those lines, experiencing trauma and almost ending his career... For him to be back, and playing like he never lost a step is a huge credit to him...Never gave up...
On his fab 15... ~ ~ 14. New York Jets (2-1). Don't laugh. I trust them a lot more than I trust the Patriots right now. & 3. These are my quick-hit thoughts of Week 3: a. In the last six quarters, the Jets have outplayed the Patriots and Bills significantly. This is such a wacky league. Who had the Jets 10-6 this year? Raise your hands out there. Woody Johnson, you don't count. b. Chad Pennington is the Comeback Player of the Year, at least for September.
Kerry Rhodes is the man im trying to look for a store nearby to get a jersey for this game sunday but i guess ill need to order it offline.
we werent the only team that passed on ed reed..you never know how someone is gonna turn out. Kerry Rhodes was a 4th round pick and look at him now..think of what all the other message boards of the 31 other teams will say when this guy is a pro-bowler year after year.
Exactly, if all the teams had a crystal ball, he would not have been available in the 4th round. You just never know.
Currently, Rhodes is the best player on the team. Who would have ever thought that was going to happen?
I agree with you. Bubbles is the Best Defensive Back in the Team, not the best player in the team. Right now THe best Player of the team belongs to Chad
The BEST player on the team? that remains to be seen, but I did draft him onto my FF team after watching just one TC practice last year. Amazing how a little inside info and some luck can make one look like a grenius! Part of it is the system.... Rhodes has the Rodney Harrison role in this scheme.... not much different that what Polamalu does for Pit.... but you have to have a lot of talent to play that role, and Rhodes certainly seems to have that! I still think he should have moved up more aggressivley to tackle Parrish on his long TD catch against the Bills.... and only Newday also picked up on that.... but the kid is a good one.
