It literraly astounded me how bad Robertson was today playing Nose, in both the 3-4 and 4-3!! When you let an undersized Melvin Fowler, 295 freaking pounds! Overpower a 317, former 4th overall pick with no help most of the time, that's pathetic!!

When Rashad Moore was in there, you could clearly see that the run defense was better, for the 2nd consecutive week. And it's simply because Moore occupies 2 blockers, letting a linebacker roam, whether it was Vilma or Barton, giving them the opportunity to make a play.

Robertson was even put on the sidelines at times, thankfully and Buffalo didn't break the long runs they did...Buffalo still had a great game rushing, but most of that was against DRob, who is an utter disappointment.

My initial guess is Moore obviously cannot play every snap yet, probably doesn't have the stamina yet, but since week 1, he has had increased playing time every game, and clearly, he understands the NT position in the 3-4.

    Bench Robertson.

yeh bra, he sucks. his poor play is making the 3-4 transition pretty bumpy. maybe benching him will light a fire under his fat-ass.

he is 100% grade A garbage. but some how watch the homers try and justify his play... "he was nearly a pro bowler in 2004.."

    d-rob is strictly a 4-3 defensive tackle

moore is just gigantic, and everytime dave ball gets in the game, i notice him...thats a good thing, that means he is making things happen

I think D-Rob needs to sit the bench and back up the DE and NT positions.

He looked very tired on some plays during the Bills' final two drives. I was watching closely. He applied almost no pressure at all and looked like he was playing at half-speed at times.

I've defended DRob for as long as I can and I really can't anymore. If we have other players on the roster who can do better, they need to be out on the field. DRob has to earn his starting spot.

Dave Ball and Moore want it so much more than D-Rob does that it isn't even funny. I don't want any of that crap about his size, because he's big and talented enough to cause havoc in any formation, yes, both 4-3 and 3-4 at the end and tackle position.

Mangini won't put up with sloppy play from him for so long, so it doesn't bother me as much as it may for some of the others.

And i'll give DRob the benefit of the doubt trying to learn the NT position in a 3-4, that's OK...

BUT. It is literally inexcusable for a 295 pound Melvin Fowler OVERPOWER a 317 pound DRob like that! That's over a 20 pound advantage for a guy getting his1st few starts in the NFL at Center!

When you're 317 pounds, and let a smaller guy dominate you without any help! Fowler, most of the game had DRob one-on-one and owned him every time...The key is to get that other guard to help the center, and DRob, with a big advantage couldn't even do that.

    Pathetic.

The real question is: can the Jets get any value at all for Robertson before they have to cut him?

It'd be nice to think the Jets could still salvage some play value out of him on 3rd down as a pass rusher in the 4 lineman front, but of course DRob has never been much of a pass rusher. That leaves him with very little play value for the Jets right now.

The way he's playing there is no way at all he comes out of the next training camp still on the Jet's roster.

The worst part about his play toaday is how he quit on the Losman TD.

That is inexcusable and has nothing to do with learning the system.

He is lazy, out of shape and weak for a 317 pounder

hes just not meant to be a NT. We should trade him somewhere that has a 4-3 system and let him start over. Hopefully we can get some depth on the O-line or a draft pick

It's not like he was tearing it up in the 4-3 either.

He was pretty good in 2004, but besides that has been a gigantic bust.

He's just not that great a player. Combine star who had an okay college career. I'm tired of having to give him time. We gave him 3 years in a 4-3 and he never broke out. Now we have to give him another year in a 3-4, meanwhile guys behind him are outperforming him right now. I'm honestly done with him at this point.

I am sure he cannot be traded with that cap number

The DE rotation we have going is superb. Hamilton is proving to be a great addition.

DSlob is a total waste of space, you'd think a man of his size and strength could occupy blockers but he actually can't do much of anything. Moore has been good at NT.

I voiced my concerns when Robertson was drafted after having a monster combine. but my gut feeling is that he's the next Mike Mamula.

We can get something for him from KC. Herm still thinks he is great.
