Sad day in Mets land I'm really going to miss listening to Ralph on the rare occasion he'd stop in the booth and join Gary, Keith and Ron.
By all accounts - it really seems like there is no one in the world who has a negative thing to say about him. That's quite a tribute. Ralph's insider stories, Lindsay's psychedelic sports jackets, and Murph's "happy recaps" really were an integral part of my life growing up. I almost feel like I've lost a member of the family, and I'm not embarrassed to say that I shed a tear reading the tributes to him from so many people in the paper today.
Damn, loved Kiner' Korner. Although I often found it funny when he'd interview Frank Cashen or a multi-million dollar ball player and he'd say at the end of the spot "and for appearing on Kiner's Korner today, Mr. Cashen will receive an Armitron watch!" :lol: _
Mets looking in to trade for Nick Franklin from the Mariners. He hit .225 with 12 homers and played second base but has more experience at short, which is where he may play if traded to the Mets. He was also a rookie last year and turns 24 around when the season starts. We should pull the trigger we have some prospects that can be given up to acquire Franklin
The Mets should really just let Flores by SS. He's clearly the best offensive option they have at the position.
I really hope this team shows some life this year, last season was such a bummer. At least get me to the all star break...
