    ^ This.

SF is so rock solid tough on both sides of the ball and SB winning teams have won with more average QB play. Kaepernick can kill you with his legs, but he also throws a nice ball. That game was in 3-degree weather and he didn't have a problem hitting Crabtree and that TD to Davis showed a nice touch.

That said, I hope Kaepernick spits the bit.

Good call, I forgot about that.

The better your team plays, the less positive things you need form your QB (never want turnovers). The worse your team plays, the more positive things you need from your QB play. I think SF can find that balance and win a SB with Kap, but like you I really don't want them to

Yeah, they played pretty good for how hurt they were, and they blew the game at the end which I unfortunately predicted.

The first Carolina game Crabtree didn't play and him being out slowed San Francisco's passing game alot. I think the result is different this time around.

I agree, I dont like the Niners, I think they will lose to Seattle but I think they take this game Sunday. Carolina is not exactly the hardest place to play, hell the Jets had a game going until the blocked punt.

At this point to me it feels like its destiny for 49er-Seahawks and Broncos-Colts.

Funny how this seems to be a somewhat common take on Kap, and I share it. It may be he was too much hyped last year, and for myself I didn't see how the move away from Alex Smith was the right one. Then Kap to his credit showed an ability to make plays against D's that were not familiar with his game.

But I remained skeptical about him and his style of play, and i still am. he's got a good arm, but I'm not impressed with his accuracy, and he makes too many dumb throws. I also think like for all running Qb's it's just a matter of time that he gets injured. Having said that I don't follow SF closely, but from my vantage point, I am not a Kap fan.

I don't follow SF closely and I fall into the same category, not a fan of Kap right now. I see why people are excited about him though. Too bad he can't play GB every week

I didnt like Kap because of the amount of hype he was recieving after just 10 games. I also felt he came off as really cocky and confident without proving anything early on. Him getting to the Super bowl without a full season is one of the most impressive things ive ever seen. I still didnt buy in though, it was just 10 games.

Now rewind to last game, him coming out with no sleeves in the frigid cold really showed a lot to me. This guy is one tough SOB. His appearance, his cockiness, is not fake, hes the real deal. He is taking strides that I was unsure he would make. When they got the ball back tied 20-20 I knew the 49ers were winning it, not because of the recievers, not because of Frank Gore, but because I knew Kaepernick would put his team into FG range one way or another. With that said, the 49ers still have a lot to work to do. If he comes up small in Carolina then the criticism will return.

it is amazing that GB's D can't seem to contain him.

I usually don't like to read into stuff like this but yeah, to me it looked like Rodgers was pretty complacent when he was coming on the field as the game was over.

I think the attitude you perceive is more consistent with someone who gave it his all but the D let the team down. Some might act pissed off and all that. But what's the point? Green Bay needs real work in their D, starting with getting Matthews back. You have to wonder if Kap would have run wild if Clay were in there, btw.

Rodgers attitude? Shite happens. Not much more to read into it.

PS the Pack were lucky to be in the playoffs, and i kind of like Green Bay so I have no agenda. If Chris Conte had not totally misplayed his assignment on that fourth and nine play, Green Bay would have been able to stay inside Sunday afternoon watching someone else play football.

Rodgers didnt seem bothered and McCarthy was laughing as the FG went through. IDK it just seemed like they were satisfied with winning the division title.

The NFL would jizz their pants for 49ers Seahawks and manning vs luck or Brady.

The Jets hung around in that Carolina game until the blocked punt. I think the game Sunday will be closer then alot of people expect. That panthers defense shut Kaep down but Vernon Davis got knocked out early and no Crabtree but we'll see Sunday.

I got Seattle, New England, San Francisco, and San Diego this weekend.

I wanna pick Indy due to all the patriots injuries and arrests and the game having passing of the torch potential but seeing that defense give up 44 to Alex smith and making him look like a top 5 qb most the game me reluctant.
