Time to eat a little crow here. I thought the Jets would be in the toilet this year. 2-3 wins max. Let's be honest the roster you have this year isn't your best. However Rex Ryan is a hell of a coach. He completely outcoached and out-motivated his team compared to the Dolphins.

The Dolphins were at home, playing for a playoff spot and playing a team they had stomped before. And the Jets ended their season thoroughly. It was a good win for your team, great win for Rex Ryan and hopefully we'll have some good games next year.

I was surprised how at how little effort the Dolphins put up yesterday considering what was at stake. Rex had our guys playing with motivation and fire. Your coach didn't. If what we saw out of the Dolphins wasn't an abberation, you guys got some real important issues to iron out before you become legit contenders.

Thanks for dropping by. Have a nice day..

    Thanks for stopping by.

I was surprised the Dolphins came out flat especially after the Buffalo game. Tannehill yesterday looked off, I've seen him play much better especially when he gets to stand in the pocket all day. I wonder if any changes will be coming to your FO or everyone is safe.

I was surprised because it seemed to me that Miami was lacking some urgency yesterday. I would be very upset if I was a Dolphin fan. I think you guys need a new coach.

I'm sorry if it seems I am piling on your team because this is a nice and unnecessary post, but man, how would you feel if Philbin returns? It's one thing to lose but that team
looked like the Jets were going to hand them a win or something yesterday. You got to go out there and get it.

I also thought Tannehill's slide at midfield on 3rd down when you guys were down by 7 in the 3rd quarter was cringe-worthy. Maybe it's being talked about down there but it was hardly mentioned in the broadcast, probably because of the whole safety mantra going on. But wow that was pretty gutless...reminded me a little of Ken O'Brien.

Geno Smith is just playing for simple pride and he was out there diving for a few extra yards and lowering his shoulder for the endzone. Tannehill is down by 7 in the second half at home, playing for a spot in the playoffs and he can't dive to get a first down at mid-field? It was pretty good karma that you guys got stuffed on 4th and 1 after that.

I would be pretty furious with the leadership right now if I liked the fish.

The Dolphins were totally flat. I feel that the Dolphins have underperformed all year. They were playing well enough at times to be a 10 win team this year and then they come back and lay total stinkers. That is down to coaching.

I think if we had a coach like Rex the Dolphins would be in the playoffs this year.

Not for nothing but the Jets came out completely flat against the Bills and the Dolphins effectively knocking them out of playoff contention. And that was with Rex at the helm, the Jets just finished the season strong while Miami wilted.

honest question. is philbin done? with what went on this year behind the scenes and the lack of control over his players, do you think they go in another direction, or is he now on the hot seat for next year?

One of my friends said that they lost because they didn't have him, but we didn't have Ivory. I know that Hartline is their most productive receiver, but they decided to go after Milliner like 15 times that game instead of going after Cromartie, who if you watch tape, it's so obvious that he's struggling. Any sort of sharp cut or comeback and you got him beat, doesn't matter who the receiver is.

For us, we lost Ivory, who's hands down better than Powell. With the carries that Bilal had, Ivory would of had another 100 yard game, easily. Powell was solid as always, but Ivory makes so much more opportunities when he runs, and it helps out the entire offense when he runs with attitude.

Want to see a sad dolphins play? Look at the replay of Geno's 7 yd TD run. While he's been held up near the goal line, two Fins players are literally standing there and watching the play right before Powell comes over and pushes Geno into the endzone. Kinda sad to watch if you're a Fins fan.

Nice post. But I think you should also be proud of your fins team. With all the controversy and OL problems you all could have and probably should have not been in playoff contention. But your team showed a lot of character.

I am greatly impressed by Tannehill. He looks like he has a very good chance of becoming a very good QB. What impresses me most is how quickly he makes decisions and gets rid of the ball. Very impressive for such a young QB. Unfortunately, for the Jets I think we will be seeing Tannehill for many years to come.

Yesterday's game was a very well played game by both teams. I was impressed by both teams efforts. It was not like the Dolphins did not come out to play. The Jets were very motivated and it was our super bowl. Pretty amazing effort for a week 17 game.

To be honest, I thought the Dolphins were surprised by the effort & intensity of the Jets
Philbin went for it again on third and short with a smash mouth play

I believe Dolphins were 0-4 this year in that type of situation

The effort Dolphins put out yesterday was what I'd expect from the KC Chiefs who were locked into the #5 seed no matter what. Not sure why they came out flat but I'll admit it was satisfying to watch as a Jets fan.

Once the emotions wear off, I think you should look at the positives your Dolphins pulled off this year. Mid-season with no warning, two starting OL were removed from the roster. Because the Dolphins handled it so well, we forget what a huge blow that was. For many teams, the season is pretty much shot in such a scenario. Also, your successfully rallied his team together under a lot of media scrutiny. Being Jet fans, we know how much it sucks when the media decided to put a bulls-eye on your team.

Tannenhill did make some improvements from last season which is also good news for you guys. More than once, he ran up to OL before snap and successfully pointed out which Jets were coming on blitzes. Not saying he'll be great but he is improving.

Do I want you guys to do better next year? Hell NO. However, do I think your coach did a solid job this year? Yup.
