    To be a true contender you need to also win away games, But I think with the right tweeking and a HUGE draft we can be a lot closer the some may think. Even though
    he had a great game yesterday I'm still on the fence with Geno.

    I knew we weren't a good road team this year but I'm surprised to find out how good we were at home. Hopefully something to build on.

    That is true - in order to break through and really be a top tier team, you need to take care of business in your building. Most division winner usually do not lose more than 1 or 2 at home in a season.

    Home edge has been missing for this team for a long time.

    it is actually best since 2011 when we also went 6-2.

    since moving to 16 game season in 1978 we have won at least 6 home games(not counting postseason) just 7 times

    1979 6-2
    1981 6-2
    1985 7-1
    1998 7-1
    2004 6-2
    2011 6-2
    2013 6-2

    81, 85, 98, 04 were all pretty successful seasons for different reasons.

    Sad thing is now that Rex has had two 6 win seasons at home and not made the playoffs in either of them.

    It sucks to if Clyde Gates doesnt drop that pass in endzone we sweep Pats and would still be alive this week.We shoulda had two road wins

    Good teams win 6-8 home games consistently and go .500 on the road. If you can do that, you will find yourself winning 10-12 games every season.

    The 2010 team was so great because we went 6-2 on the road which was truly remarkable. We also had 2 more road playoff wins.
