Wow since when is the manager of the year get canned, the Marlins may have the best scouts in MLB for getting so much young talent, but their management is run by morons, well at least the Cubs have something to look forward to

I'd love to have Girardi in Cincinnati. Jerry Narron is an idiot.

I guess the Marlins ownership isn't too enamored with Girardi's "Yankee pedigree". Someone should've told Girardi that you can only get away with nodding off in the dugout and disrespecting ownership after you've won a couple WS titles.

Incredibly stupid move by the Marlins. Maybe if the Yanks win the WS this year Joe Torre retires and Girardi steps in. That would be the perfect scenario.

Girardi has been incredibly shaky with in game moves this year. Although if you like Torre as a manager you'd probably like Girardi too.

Every move is not going to work out, the man has taken a team that should lose 100 games and he has them in the WC race. granted the NL is incredibly weak but he does have them in contention.

The Marlins are a talented team, should Girardi get credit because the Marlins are a better team then people thought and playing in an incredibly weak league? They've got a couple headcases on the roster too and they've been running wild all season long. They probably take that cue from their manager who is yelling at the owner in the stands during games. And then of course like I mentioned you have his numerous tactical screw ups during the season.

Every Mgr has numerous tactical screwups, it happens. That team easily could have folded aftre the horrible start they had but, much like Torre, girardi was able to keep his team together and get them back in the race. he did a great job and will win the NL Mgr of the Year.

I bet if he did he'd win more than the 23 games Larry Brown won.

As long as his team beats the Phillies about 4 of 6 times over this next 10 days, I'm ok with whatever happens after that.

The Marlins remind me of the Indians team in the movie "Major League"...

What happened with Josh Johnson? He's a nice pitcher, and he's hurt.

I think the ownership could have gone out of the way and gotten Girardi an extra bat to make a run. They didn't. I wouldn't want to be there either.

He put him back in after a 82 minute rain delay. He strained a ligament and is done for the season.
