Just wondering how confident you guys/girls are in this Jets team. To me, they looked very avg against a very bad Tennesee team, and they looked awful for almost 3 quarters vs New England. The question is, did NE give up, or are the Jets actually that good (nearly beating NE). I'm not sure. As a Bills fan, I have to say, I'm pretty confident Buffalo will win this upcoming Sunday. I think a lot of you are under-estimating their Defense. Losman has played near-perfect, although he hasn't put up huge numbers, it's also note-worth that he hasn't thrown a pick either. What are your predictions? I think the Bills win, 24-10.
It's pretty pointless to make a new thread on a prediciton when their is already a thread on it... Just offer your opinion there...Or did you just want to get noticed? True.
Did you even read my post? I asked how confident you Jets fans are about the game. Then I said how confident I was, ending with a prediction of the score. It's not like I just posted and said Bills 24 Jets 10.
If your going to say the Jets played bad for three Quarters against NE then you should also mention that they absolutely dominated Tenessee for three quarters. As far as this weeks game goes I don't know. Jets always have trouble with the bills. Maybe the new regime won't have the same issues. Personally I think we will come up with the win in a tight game because we have a better Qb and are better coached.
About this game? Not too confident. I don't think we match up to well with Buffalo, and we always seem to struggle there. About the team in general? I think we are ok. I think if Chad stays healthy, we are a middle of the road at best team, but will at least be in the race for a playoff spot because of a weak schedule.
I think the reason you are getting all the sarcasm is that you post a thread on how confident us Jet fans are..then go on to rip the first two games we played. Since we have underestimated your defense and Losman is perfect...to go with this game being your home opener...I cant see how the Jets could possibly win this game. bills 42 jets 0
i think they can win the tenn score was closer than it should have been, as was the NE score really we dominated tenn, and were handled by the pats i think buff surprised the pats more than anything, and miami just sucks cant really know anything until about week 6. team who makes less mistakes wins, neither team is better by a wide enough margin to overcome big mistakes
It is unbelievable to me how many Bills fans have come out of the woodwork ahead of this game. As Judge Smails said in Caddyshack, "Don't you people have homes?" Let me state this clearly. Both of our teams are rebuilding. Both of our teams are mediocre. Both of our teams have beaten one 0-2 team, and both of our teams have lost to the Patriots. Both of us will struggle to .500 and neither of us should think a win this weekend represents an arrival to respectability. And both sides would be talking out of their ass to suggest the outcome is guaranteed. So enjoy the game on Sunday, and chil the f' out.
I wonder how we looked average against a bad Tennessee team? We DOMINATED them in the first half... Collins had a QB rating less than or around10 at the half... Sure they came back after our kicker missed 2 kicks and an XP which shifted momentum proving we are still a flawed team but that is expected. I think you are underestimating us and your play against the Dolphins is getting you a little to excited. It will be a close one, I think Buffalo wins only because we always split the series with each home team winning.
Yeah Losman has been near perfect.. Oh wait, except when he got sacked in the Endzone against NE because he didn't know where he was. How many points did you lose by to NE again?? It's hard to not be perfect when you throw the ball 12 times a goddam game against a sub-par Miami secondary.
The good news is because we now employ a REAL NFL coach I think most Jet fans feel the game plan and game coaching will be done correctly..It's a matter of execution by the Jet players..there are ways to slow down an over aggressive Bills defense which I'm sure is the Jets staff is aware of. The Bills offense is not going up and down the field on the Jets D. Buffalo is a hard place to play, hopefully Coach Mangini has the volume maxed out in practice to prepare because that place is loud!! I'm fairly confident.
I feel the same about Buffalo's coaches. It's about time they got a coach who didn't have his head in his ass on game day. By watching The Jets, it's easy to see that they respect Mangini, and he's a guy who doesn't say they are going to do one thing, and then do another. He does what he says. So does Jauron. It's going to be an interesting season, and I'll tell you, the Jets are a lot better than I thought they'd be coming in to this season. As for me "bashing" the Jets, I never bashed anyone. Some of you seem over-sensitive. I merely stated that the Jets looked "avg" vs Tennessee. They did. Tennesee is arguably the worst team in the NFL right now. You beat them. Congrats. The Jets barely lost to NE, so did Buffalo. Big deal. Both teams are 1-1, yes. Both teams are rebuilding, yes. Do I expect the playoffs out of the Bills? No, I've learned to keep my expectations low, I'm sure some of you know how that feels. Hey, I'm just saying, it's Buffalo's home opener, the D is on fire (too young to know any better), I think they'll win. I could be wrong, I could be right. I'll be back after the game either way, and not to rub it in either.
